Your example may just illustrate the dumbing down, the desensitizing of the people. Desensitized people just do not have the resolve to fight against wrongs, to resist government oppressions.
I see why the Docs are concerned. These people they’re talking about have no clue the rug’s been pulled out from under them, and Docs are worried that people will start acting out in their offices, endangering them and their staff.
I wouldn’t want to be the person to have to tell them there isn’t any Gibsmedat anymore. They’ll tear you to shreds.
They might have simply had the decency to realize the docs weren’t to blame, and that having a fit at them would be trashy and low class.
