These were apparently hyped by Pitt and the media as "environmentally friendly" homes because of the type of wood treatment used.
See what happens when you worship the earth?

I’m surprised that mushrooms don’t grow out of everything on the Gulf Coast.

When they took the arsenic out of treated wood I noticed more warping on the green treated lumber.
(Meaning we get to rebuild the deck again and use even more wood.)
Gaia is going to be pissed.

If they were given a house, did they think they wouldn’t have to take care of it?

I'd like to see Mike Holmes go through one and critique it.

I can’t believe I would side with Pitt or his envo wackos, but this is a bit of piling on.. Yes, we know and so should anyone that believes in this Mother Earth religion, that it’s bogus, but thats their problem.. I believe he was trying to do something his celebrity could accomplish, however stupid for all involved..

I would suspect that the best wood for building in New Awlens is Cypress. A little expensive, but a house built of Cypress will out last most of the steel there, besides Pitt can afford it.

Go to Asia, where the temps and humidity are brutal. Everything is built out of concrete. Perhaps they know something that we need to learn.

In a city that features breathtaking architecture even for the most simple homes, these Pitt houses are really ugly.
