Correct. I moved in when I was 23. Living in a small space did give me a chance to save some money and maintain privacy. I could not do it now.
I helped my son buy a new washing machine. I told him to have it delivered and installed, and above all, have them haul the OLD ONE away!

My Condo’s basement is set-up like the old Farm’s Survival Bunker Storage Area was: 18 shelves of food, water, ammo, survival gear, medicines etc. The dbl-door Cannon Gunsafe was too large and heavy to get down the basement, so it’s in my garage with inside and outside sensors tied into phone and alarm system. I’m good, with Dad & Sis, for 8-10mos.

I tipped the 2 installers $50 each for the installation and hauling all those old appliances away, plus all the boxes which came UPS from the new shipments of MRE-survival foods. They were glad to get the cash.

Rush is annoying me, talking like relativity and mediocrity is something new! The basis of Progressive post modernist thought is relativity, relativity of history, relativity of language (definition of “is” is), relativity of culture and behind all of it, the relativity of the truth. Progressives believe that there is no single truth because the truth is a matter of perspective, or dependent on what the definition of “is” is.
Aim for mediocrity is the Progressive motto for education and actually for life. Competition is seen as detrimental to equality of outcome. This is the basis of Common Core.
