Bill de Blasio, New York’s incoming mayor, apparently loves animals more than people. He thinks horse-drawn carriages in Central Park are “inhumane.” But abortions in New York City, which is the abortion capital of America given its ridiculously high abortion rates? No problem.
Fox News reports on de Blasio’s concern about horse-drawn carriages:
New York City Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio has vowed to move quickly to outlaw the horse-drawn carriages that pull tourists around the city’s famous Central Park.
“We are going to get rid of the horse carriages. Period,” de Blasio, who takes office New Year’s Day, said at a news conference Monday. “They are not humane, they are not appropriate for the year 2014. It’s over. So, just watch us do it.”
Animal-rights activists say the carriage horses are overworked and claim that the city’s traffic and pollution create an unsafe environment.
“They constantly breathe exhaust while dodging dangerous traffic,” says the website of one anti-carriage group, New Yorkers for Clean, Livable, and Safe Streets (NYCLASS), “confined to the shafts of their carriage and their tiny stable stalls, with no access to green pastures.”
Drivers say that the horses are well-treated and receive plenty of vacation time in exchange for their work. They plan to fight de Blasio’s proposed ban in court, whenever it comes.
Bill Donohue of the Catholic League told LifeNews in response: “The new mayor is ready to jump start New York by seeking to ban horse-drawn carriages in Central Park, but it is not certain whether he will put this issue ahead of his plans to expand the number of abortion centers. De Blasio said yesterday that horse-drawn carriages are “inhumane,” and when he ran for mayor he said he was upset with the lack of abortion facilities in “underserved” areas.”
I lived in OR and now live in WA. I am here to tell you, they won’t. California’s fleeing CA are ruining OR and WA. And it is not a slow process. Liberalism is truly a mental disorder. They have the Midas touch. Everything they touch turns to shit.
Now THAT'S what I call "transformative."
Good afternoon, and Happy New Year.

I’m interested in watching it.
Living in NC, I am well aware of that characteristic of migrating Liberals. Liberalism indeed is a genuine mental disorder or maybe "delusion" would be a better word.
Even though I am from NY and my wife from California, neither of us contracted it along the way and we fit right in here and are perfectly comfortable with other normal people who believe in the Constitution and are not control freaks. We have no commonality with the Liberals from these places who have fled the crap holes they made but want to take with them. They figure they can do a better job of it next time around. Fat chance. It never works out the way they imagine. But then, a control freak utopia full of whiners and tyrants never does.
It just doesn't make sense but there it is. There are still people in Russia who long for the Good Old Days of Stalin so it is not a human characteristic native to America.
Upon furthur reflection, I’ll bet that NYC is infested with cockroaches.
God help New York.
The new mayor doesn’t just think abortions okay, he wants to ban pregnancy clinics that do not do abortions
this what secular, relative morality brings ya. not fun or sanity-keeping, to live under.
He’s going to outlaw horse-drawn carriages...despite the fact that not a single horse has complained.
That would be Steve Nislick, Blasios campaign financier and real estate developer. Actually, his speciality is parking garages.
So guys are going to be
unemployed and tourist dollars will go elsewhere .
Wow, this tool is rally a nut. It’s gonna be fun to watch from a distance.
