That was something I observed. The author mushed up a lot of statistics about "moms" without bringing up other significant factors.

For example: Low-income stay-at-home moms, where the annual household income is less than $36,000, report higher levels of unhappiness. Over half report they are struggling, and four percent say they are suffering. Only 46 percent say they are thriving.

Okay, what else can you tell us about these "moms"? For example, which ones are married? Are the "thriving" 46% married? Unmarried motherhood is highly correlated with unhappiness.
