That was something I observed. The author mushed up a lot of statistics about "moms" without bringing up other significant factors.

For example: Low-income stay-at-home moms, where the annual household income is less than $36,000, report higher levels of unhappiness. Over half report they are struggling, and four percent say they are suffering. Only 46 percent say they are thriving.

Okay, what else can you tell us about these "moms"? For example, which ones are married? Are the "thriving" 46% married? Unmarried motherhood is highly correlated with unhappiness.

From what I hear in my office, married motherhood means taking care of husband as childish as the kids -— doesn’t want to work, wants to have his demands for daily sex addressed, wants to buy himself cool gadgets while the kids go without, wants to make demands about “respect” and makes complaints about his “role as father” being “respected” and that if everybody doesn’t jump when he says so being “emasculated”.

It’s all about their genitals.

Well someone has to be the adult in these situations and usually it is the woman
