The self-described 'dissident feminist' believes society is neutering boys of their maleness at a young age She also believes the lack of people with military experience in important positions is a recipe for disaster An avid listener of sports radio, she believes these 'are the men that would save the nation' 'Our culture doesn't allow women to know how to be womanly,' she said Paglia also recently spoke out in favor of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson and defended his right to free speech
Our society is neutering boys of their maleness at a young age, while the lack of people with military experience in important positions is a recipe for disaster, claims Camille Paglia, the controversial lesbian author and social critic.
Self-described dissident feminist Paglia, 66, believes that attempts to deny the biological distinctions between men and women is to blame for the much that is wrong with modern society.
'What you're seeing is how a civilization commits suicide she told the Wall Street Journal.
Paglia, a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, is well known for her critical views on many aspects of modern culture, including feminism and liberalism.
She recently spoke out in support of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson, supporting his right to express homophobic views.....

Some choice!
This is by design & is why they put BPA in plastic.
Spot on. Good article.
Well, she’s right, of course. It’s probably too late to do anything about it. That doesn’t mean that we should stop trying.
Renaissance Faire
Sorry, that was two different places last summer, but you get the idea.
Time for more coffee. :/
TOTALLY AGREE with her. A strong male image is a threat to gender equivalence and socialism. It is another battlefield in the left’s KulturKampf against western civilization.
Armies of single mothers and gays -Good Luck with that!
A single mom lesbian raising a child with her homosexual ex-partner complaining about the lack of men in families? ....is this what passes for conservatism these days? No thanks.
A strong male image is a threat to gender equivalence and socialism.
...watch for the decline in local football activities as evidence for gender equity...the nascent prototype for participatory sports revolves around the ability of both sexes to be able to play it, and nobody wants to see girls play football...of course nobody particularly wants to see them play basketball, either, but political correctness and all that, you know...watch for the youth football leagues, especially in the affluent suburbs, to be dismantled, starving the high schools of talent, and then be prepared to watch the college game being impacted at a high level...
...it’s likely the game may continue in the less affluent areas, to allow it a generation or two of survival, but it is doomed under the prevailing mindset....which manages to snag malleable ex NFL’ers like Aikman, Warner, and Favre to publicly state they won’t allow their boys to participate in the game that made them rich...idiots...
Paglia is no conservative. She's a dyed in the wool lib, as a matter of fact. She just is one of the rare ones with a shred of integrity willing to dissent with the plantation owners.
A single mom lesbian raising a child with her homosexual ex-partner complaining about the lack of men in families? ....is this what passes for conservatism these days? No thanks.
...you’re forgetting that this lesbian, as a member of the cultural elite, carries cachet that a mere redneck duck hunter never could...she could repeat verbatim Phil Robertson’s comments, and it would be debated, in all seriousness, in the academic community, while all Phil gets out of it is attempted ruination...
That certainly showed through with the following comments:
spoke out in favor of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson and defended his right to free speech
That issue had nothing whatsoever to do with Robertson's right to free speach, any more than the author's "right" to join F.R. and spout liberalism.
Also:
She recently spoke out in support of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson, supporting his right to express homophobic views
\ Does she actually believe that Phil Robertson fears queers?
Or maybe she, as all ignorant liberals believe, believes that "homophobic" means hating homosexuals and Robertson hates homosexuals. Who ever knows what's in the mind of a liberal? (rhetorical question).
From what I've seen and heard from Phil Robertson is that he's a Christian and hates no one, an utterly un understandable world view to liberals everywhere.
Feminists say they want to be equal to men or their superiors, but I see very few on construction crews, trash trucks, power lines during storms or anything dangerous.
In short, the jobs in Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs are essential to survival, and there are very few women there.
Paglia is an honest liberal who knows BS when she sees it. I don’t agree with her politics but at least she has no fear of attacking sacred cows - wherever they are. Even this lesbian knows it is wrong to attack masculinity.
