Texas tea party favorite Sen. Ted Cruz tells ABC's Jonathan Karl on "This Week" that he has no regrets about the 16-week federal government shutdown.
In fact, he blames President Barack Obama and Democratic leaders, ABC News reports in a story on its website.

He is, of course, correct. The House has the Constitutional responsibility to provide a budget which Democrats never allowed to come to the Senate floor for a vote. The shutdown is therefore ENTIRELY their fault.
The comments at the “This Week” link for this story are almost all anti-Cruz. I read through them trying to find why they disagreed with Ted’s statements, but alas, could find no such thing - only hideous name calling, a typical lib reaction. Methinks their inability to articulate a reasonable argument is telling and they are in extreme denial.
Dallas News had to retract a statement about a lack or not of drug muling dreamers.
On the plus side, the Ted Cruz segment did not try to diminish his popularity or accomplishments. They did say that Cruz was second to only the Pope in some "Man of the Year" vote.
Truth hurts.. sad that most will not accept truth.
The Houston Comical lies to its readers (16-weeks, “Shutnado, ONOZE!!!”, Ted “Commie’s son” Cruze....) et al. They did the same crap to Tom DeLay.
They are vile.
