CONNECTICUT GUN OWNERS WAIT IN LINE TO DO SOMETHING MANY GUN OWNERS HOPE THEY NEVER HAVE TO

Connecticut residents waited in long lines on Thursday to register their firearms and high-capacity magazines before the state’s new gun laws go into effect on Jan. 1, 2014.

WFSB-TV reports that a “long-line of people” stood outside the Public Safety Building in Middletown, Conn., all day to register semi-automatic rifles and high-capacity magazines. Several residents were upset with the “unconstitutional” requirement, while at least one person didn’t appear to mind.

“I understand why they’re doing it, but I don’t think it’s constitutional,” resident Scott Boccio told WFSB-TV as he was registering his guns.

Charles Gillette, who was registering magazines, told the news station that he would have a problem with it if the state was trying to ban the magazines or firearms, but said “if they want to just know where they are, that’s fine with me.”

However, not one gun owner who was registering firearms or magazines said they think the new laws will reduce gun violence.

“If people are going to do things illegally, they’re not going to be here registering their gun,” Jared Krajewski, another resident registering firearms, said.

For now, in Connecticut, the law is the law. The new gun control measures were put into place following the tragic school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

State police Lt. Paul Vance said that gun owners must fill our forms completely and some may require a notary.

Nah, Real Americans are only the ten percent. The rest follow the lead.

Look what happened when the US Gov. demanded that all Americans turn in THEIR GOLD! .....they turned it in for a supposed good price. Same thing will happen with guns unless THE TEN PERCENT LEAD.

Absolutely correct. As a freedom fighter, we must delay, obstruct, refuse, destroy all attempts by the enemy to deny us our rights, our freedom and liberty under the Constitution. We eliminate tyrants, we do NOT obey them.

Translation: “I don’t think it’s constitutional so I’ll swallow the blue pill”.

SWAT shoots the homeowner who survives and is then charged with obstructing justice?

A simple REFUSAL to register would've been enough. Now that you've REGISTERED, they know what you have, and know they can disarm you.

They already knew what I have. I had to register the purchase of my pistol when I bought it. It's a Ruger SR9 that came with 17rd magazines. I had to "register" or declare the magazines but they already knew about the gun.

So you'll be WORTHLESS when the revolution starts.

Will you be starting it in PA? Or, are you waiting for someone else to start it?

Perhaps. But, my family won't be wondering how to get me out of jail when it does start.

Good little lemmings doing only what their masters tell them.

They don’t deserve liberty OR freedom.

We had utterly stupid people like this at my gun club. We called them “Golfers with Guns”.

But they didn't know about your magazines did they, at least until you volunteered the information.

You could've resisted - passively, by omission - and instead you chose to comply with an unconstitutional law.

Keep telling yourself that. In every country where registration was passed, confiscation followed. You'd be well advised to prepare a backup plan to arm yourself once they take your weapons away.

It depends on how much you use. If you use enough, you can send the door flying in like a projectile.

FYI, the breachers don't usually stand on top of it when it goes - they back off.

dumb question from me....if you had some on the inside of the door, would you blow the door out along with those standing behind the door?

1. There are no dumb questions.
2. Detcord would cut a channel about twice it's diameter on a wooden door. Normally, three to four strands are taped to a silhouette which is taped to the door and detonated, blowing a hole through the door and allowing access. A different method is using water impulse charges which are nothing more than 18" of detcord between two IV bags, placed at the top, bottom, and center of the door. This has the benefit of bending steel reinforced doors in a V-pattern and knocking them off of their hinges.
3. Anyone near the door would be injured, but not necessarily killed (unless they were actually in contact with the door). The guys detonating the detcord are usually within 6ft of the cord when it is ignited.

A Texas legislator would have to first propose the law, then both houses would have to pass it. A Texas Governor would then have to sign it before any LEO was ever forced to even consider enforcing such a heinous tyranny upon Texans. Ain't never gonna happen.

It may be a bit of a bad analogy, but remember what the feds did to Waco.
Think about it.
