A spokeswoman told the newspaper that the restaurant will likely close for more than a month as it converts into a burger concept.
But the firings come a few weeks after Snarf's workers participated in the "Fight for 15" rally, seeking higher wages. A Facebook post on Dec. 5 striking workers outside the restaurant with the caption, "Snarfs SHUT DOWN! #strike victory!"

Love it. Chicago of all places, and it looks like “take your $15.00 bucks an hour, and stuff it. ESAD.”

They could always get a job at Boeing Renton/Everett? What? They want more money too? Never mind.

“Snarf’s closed...fight for 15 victory!”
It’s CLOSED. Now no one has ANY job there. How exactly is going from 7 bucks an hour to ZERO bucks an hour a “victory”?
This really is deluded thinking.

When I first heard this I thought “Sea-Tac”. I’m amazed that it hasn’t happened (yet).

I hope the owner makes the protesting thugs re-apply. For $1.50 less per hour. Working the midnight shift.

A Facebook post on Dec. 5 striking workers outside the restaurant with the caption, "Snarfs SHUT DOWN! #strike victory!" The protesters should pool their money, open a small restaurant and pay their workers a hundred bucks an hour...It might seem high, but they can offset the costs by charging $300 for french fries. I can see it in their faces... they know it'll work.

It warms my heart whenever management decides to shut down instead of caving to union demands!
