NBC News boss Deborah Turness is spending the last few days of the year eyeing cuts moves that could include axing some senior on-air talent, The Post has learned.
Turness, brought on in August to shake up the moribund news division where Meet the Press and Today had stumbled is in the midst of a host of end-of -year buyouts and cost reductions, sources said.
The current moves are not the first time Turness has irked journalists under her command.

They’re 3 miles past merely ‘stupid liberal’.
Ditto. I have gotten the majority of my news from Free Republic since 2000. No where else is the analysis as good.
Me too. It kinds of irritates my wife when I’m inconstantly talking about a story two or three days before she hears it on TV news.
Too bad punks.
The stories, in rough CONSECUTIVE order (as I recall):
1. Immigration advocates stand up for unfortunate children of illegals.
2. Tea Party Republicans continue to hurt Republicans.
3. Obamacare is staged to help those on the outer fringe of society.
4. Taxes really aren't hurting wealthy people.
5. Mandela was effectively a Saint.
What freaking “news” value am I supposed to get from that piece of c—p? The women and men talk in such kind, conversational, tones that make everything they say sound like it must be true.
I believe we need to have a variety of sources for our information, but, honestly, Free Republic already pulls those together perfectly well.
By the way, I don't think, contrary to what you said in an earlier post, that FReepers think all cops are bad in any more consistent a way as the rest of us are.
FR has self censorship and doesn’t permit presenting News pointers from particular websites, does not permit certain positions on certain topics. Even if they are in earnest and not libtard trolls.
You still feel FR is a good news source for somebody that single sources their news?
Okay, I’m game. What are sources of legitimate information and analysis you must get outside of Free Republic? Even the WSJ is allowed to be excerpted here.

I had a rather interesting post from Bloomberg that was taken down because it was from Bloomberg.
Bloombergs link policy is pretty standard stuff and FR isn’t restricted as far as I can tell from reading the TOS and their linking rules — unless of course there is some other reason like the TOS are onerous, but they seemed pretty standard full of disclaimers, rights and uses of Bloomberg logo.
In fact, you don’t even need a TOS for fair use. A 4 line excerpt of a paragraph out of 800-900 word news story provided with out a deep link shouldn’t get anybodies panties in a bunch.
