NBC News boss Deborah Turness is spending the last few days of the year eyeing cuts moves that could include axing some senior on-air talent, The Post has learned.
Turness, brought on in August to shake up the moribund news division where Meet the Press and Today had stumbled is in the midst of a host of end-of -year buyouts and cost reductions, sources said.
The current moves are not the first time Turness has irked journalists under her command.

Instead of getting better, NBC News has been getting worse, said one executive. Its a mess.
How do you screw up news?

NBC doesn’t need to have staff journalists. The ministry of Propaganda will provide everything they want published/reported.

If NBC has to put a liberal in “Meet the Press” they should recruit Jon Stewart...

I hope DD moves to The Blaze, so we can have a nice, shiny new conservative network.

They could literally do that and it wouldn’t make a bit of difference in their current reportage.

I’m so happy that I don’t spend any of my life watching tv news.
I get all of my news from FR—if it isn’t posted here, I don’t have to know about it...........

I get all of my news from FRSame here. And I am always ahead of the curve. I know this to be true because on occasion when I do watch television news I see things that I read on FR hours if not days before.

I always think of the scene in Broadcast News, when the Washington Staff is getting laid off, and one of the heads of the news department asks one of the laid off employees if there’s anything he could do for him, to which the employee replies, “Well....you could die soon.”
