The Lockheed Martin Corp. is cutting ties with the Boy Scouts of America because the group does not allow gay Scout leaders, officials told the MDJ on Wednesday.
While we applaud the mission of the Boy Scouts and the good things they do in our communities, their policies that discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation and religious affiliation conflict with Lockheed Martin policies, said Lockheed spokesman Gordon Johndroe.
The reference to religious affiliation has to do with the Boy Scouts ban on atheist members.

They don’t want their products boycotted by gay people just straights.
HR departments are dominated by lefties, You should see where these corporations are donating their money
BIG business sure scrambled to the port side of the ship after we hit the iceberg.
Lockheed used to work with the systems support group at work. They thought they were ignoramuses.
I figure the Boy Scout’s alternative must be doing pretty well, so someone ordered Lockheed to make a stink.
Lockheed Martin is the subject of several major environmental cleanup lawsuits by the Govt. This time I’m rooting for the Govt to win.
Old Christmas song, “Let them pay, let them pay, let them pay”.
Most of the major defense contractors have been taken over by the Gaystapo. It started at Texas Instruments at Texas. Raytheon bought out TI, and the disease has spread like wildfire.
How many fighter jets or rocket launchers do you typically buy in a year?
So LM is now a slave of MD Gov't now anyway.
Like I said earlier, my son will be disappointed that the F-35 Lightening that he wanted for Christmas will not be under the tree this year and I will not have to shell out the 200 million dollars.
That’s it. I will not be buying anymore rockets or airplanes.
Lockheed doesn’t like enlisted type prior servicemen either.
I stopped giving money to the scouts because of their new position as well. I wanted them to keep their “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy for kids, because scouts is not sexual and therefore sexual preference should not be an issue.
But instead, they openly endorsed the idea of sexually active boys in scouts, by formally endorsing openly gay scouts.
Meanwhile, the scouts have had to spend millions of dollars on legal settlements because of gay adult leaders.
The scouts have banned openly atheist members since their founding. Unlike the gay issue, which until recently was really a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy where it only became an issue if a boy or an adult decided to openly discuss their sexual preference, there was never a doubt that if you did not practice reverence, you would not be long for scouting.
It is hilarious that any company is just discovering this.
On the other hand, I kind of wish companies would not do major sponsorship of organizations of any kind. A company exists to build things and sell them, and any money they give away is either making their products more expensive, or lowering their value to shareholders.
Source for that?
I personally know a few dozen former enlisted working in many technical, engineering, safety, quality assurance, etc. capacities for Lockheed.
Hey luckup, it didn’t bother you all those years before, why now? Frikkin homos infest everything.
A few years ago the national organization would not let us cut and split our own firewood. That about ended it for me.
