That is a rather bizarre coincidence. Perhaps it’s a common occurrence. Something similar happens on occasion here at the mostly middle eastern operated corner grocery stores and hot dog stands when it comes to returning your proper change, or even the correct price of the item. Oops, sorry. My mistake. It’s probably more common at these types of businesses because they don’t scan items.

BTW, when I won that day I took a white stretch limo Cadillac home! It only cost about $20 or $25 bucks. The guy the driver had been waiting for apparently didn’t show up.

I think it happens a lot and really isn’t a coincidence. They see how excited people are and because their mind is on winning these slime bags take advantage. Same with drinking, when I use to be a drinker in the 80s I would notice I would always get short changed here in New York city because they would smell the booze even if I wasnt that drunk and it would tick me off to no end. I remember throwing the change right in this one guys face then running off. ha ha. Oh yeah then the old “I gave you a 20” “No you gave me a 10” routine. That would happen a lot. Going to an ATM, withdrawing two 20 dollar bills then buying two cans of beer and the guy would give me change for a 10.
