Justice Minister Tzipi Livni appealed a bill declaring donations to anti-Israel non-governmental organizations from foreign governments no longer exempt from tax, after it was approved by the Ministerial Committee for Legislation on Sunday.
Eight ministers from Likud, Yisrael Beytenu and Bayit Yehudi approved the bill in the ministerial committee, while Hatnua and Yesh Atid ministers voted against it.
The legislation proposed by Bayit Yehudi faction chairwoman Ayelet Shaked and MK Robert Ilatov (Likud Beytenu) amends the Income Tax Law so that NGOs will have to pay 45 percent tax on donations from foreign governments if the organization or members of its board of directors do one of the following: Call for IDF soldiers to be brought to international courts, call for boycott, divestment of sanctions of the State of Israel or its citizens, reject Israel's right to exist as a Jewish and democratic state, incite to racism or support armed battle by an enemy state or terror organization against Israel.

Hey, freedom lovers need to know who their closest foes are. Thanks, Livni.
The other MKs should just vote her anti-Jewish, anti-Eyn Sof tuchus off the island.
Make all pro-Israel NGOs exempt from taxes, and impose a 75% tax on all of the anti-Israel ones.
Just outlaw all foreign contributions to all NGOs. Who are these imperialist a@#holes to interfere in our internal affairs. Israel is doing its best to be humane with people who respect no laws and want dearly to see us all dead, at the same time they can’t even keep their one power plant going during a blizzard. They want to defend an oppressed people? How about Eastern and African Christians, Alawites and Kurds? How about Berbers? How about Baluchis? They are so full of s@#$ it’s coming out their ears! They target Israel because we won’t arrest or shoot them, and then they can pretend to be courageous do-gooders, when in fact they’re cowards and liars.
I say let them have their freedom to spout their evil drivel so it reminds all Israelis who the enemy is and how Amalek speaks through them. So while they speak it will cost them dearly because we all know freedom isn’t free for evildoers. It financially benefits the country, too! A little wealth transfer/re-distribution to the good guys is a win/win for the government and the citizenry.
Tell that to the kid who gets burnt all over while holding the line with a gun he’s not allowed to use, as the troglodytes are incited by these pricks to throw firebombs.
Talk and actions are a bit different, but when that happens you lay the hammer down hard on the perps.
“No mercy for the merciless” is my motto.
The Ministerial Committee for Legislation has approved, by an 8-4 margin, a bill that would place a 45% tax on foreign donations to anti-Israel NGO's. The decision has been appealed by 'Justice Minister' Tzipi Livni, meaning that another vote in the committee will have to be taken. Bills that are approved by the Committee have a good chance to become law because they are presumably backed by the governing coalition.

There are no end of perps. Hammer away, and you’ll get more perps coming over the hill, together with B’tzelem photographers and their magic cameras that skip anything that might not fit their agenda, and will make it look like you are hammering on innocent civilians. They get foreign funding, too. There can be an end to their inciters, though. Just compel them to get domestic financing. Domestically, they can get some money from the university crowds, but they have no other popular base here. Without foreign funds, they will have to get jobs.
Thanks Eleutheria5, and what a great idea!
There’s what? A billion of ‘em to deal with?
Compelling them to get domestic funding would definitely limit them. Plus a 75% tax would make really difficult.
What the hell good are they anyway? No loss to the world if they just stopped functioning as front groups for neo-imperialists.
As a reminder since human beings have a tendency to forget.
Just offer B’tzelem ten cents on the dollar per meter for their bogus films, including the stuff they cut out. They’ll take it once their foreign imbacilical cord is cut, so they can get clear of their creditors. Then you can have an NGO museum, dissecting all their lies, and charge admission.
look at how much money our government gives to the far left, even ObamaCare is a huge handout.
Seen globally the trend is - as you pointed out - the opposite. And I guess it will remain so until
a) USA elects a conservative president - or at least a much less radical leftist than the "present" one
b) the euro crashes and the EU goes up into smoke - hopefully without too much bloodshed.
