1Cor 11:13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
1Cor 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1Cor 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.
1Cor 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
Paul said that long hair on a man is shameful. If Jesus wore long hair, Paul called Jesus shameful.
I doubt Paul would call Jesus shameful.
I don’t think it was a crew cut, more of a fade...
I suppose it depends on what you call “long”. It was probably more convenient then to cut it around shoulder-length. It could certainly not act as a “covering” that way.
Paul was writing unto Gentiles...............
This is a deep study but it's a parable. A woman should cover her head because of the fallen angels. In Genesis 6 we learn that the fallen angels found the daughters of Adam attractive and impregnated them. A woman can avoid this by covering her head with, not her hair, but with the knowledge of Jesus, to know to stay away from the fallen angels. For a man to have to cover his head to protect himself from the fallen angels means he is homosexual and the fallen angels find him attractive because of his ways.
I don’t recall Paul ever meeting Jesus? Did he?
Also, iirc, Jesus placed himself under the Nazarite Vow which, among other things, forbid the cutting of hair on head or face.
Perhaps he persecuted Christians because of their hair.
Maybe "long" is a relative thing. Acts 18:18 says that Paul cut his hair because "he had a vow" but it isn't clear that this was related to the Nazarite vow of Numbers 6:1-27.
Some pictures of Paul show him with long-ish hair. Maybe this is before he went to get his hair cut.
