What does “The View” have to do with Megan Kelley?

RE: What happened to John Gibson, I thought he did a good job.

From Wikipedia:

Gibson joined the Fox News Channel in September 2000 as the host of its news program The Big Story. He also wrote the New York Times bestselling books Hating America: The New World Sport and The War on Christmas.

On March 12, 2008, Fox News Channel announced The Big Story was being replaced with America’s Election Headquarters, a program more directly geared toward following the 2008 U.S. presidential election.

The Big Story was not renewed after the election and was replaced with The Glenn Beck Program in January 2009. He has been a regular guest-panelist on Fox’s late-night satire show Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, and is often the butt of jokes on episodes in which he doesn’t appear.

Did you read the last paragraph of the article? Is he comparing her to Reagan?

True that.

I hope she cleans his clock in the ratings.

I love her to death, she’s cute as a button and sharp as a pin.

I really like the fact that she actually lets her guests speak, which I think is a foreign concept to the Leprechaun.

He is not, by a long shot, the only one in that category. That and three or more people all talking over each other at once makes most talk shows unwatchable for me.

Spot on. When O'Reiley intererviewed Palin, he spoke 80% of the time...who cares what he thinks, I tuned in for and didn't get to hear Palin. (Loved it whe he mentioned her "charm"... Palin rolled her eyes and said, "yeah charm." Really put him down in about 2 seconds.)

And I remember when Fox announced it’s new line up, how many here were bad mounting Kelly. Hahaha! I knew she would be great. I got to watch her day time show every now and then. She is a great “take no BS” interviewer. Much like Gretta, and unlike O’R, she will allow her subject to talk long enough to make their point..

Unlike O’Reilly, she actually understands the positions she takes on the show and is able to back them up. O’Reilly gets handed a script by his staff and isn’t able to defend against the guests’ taking points so he resorts to just shouting them down or cutting them off.

Sound of Music
Big Bang Theory
The Kelly File

Sort of reinforces my theory that the American TV audience will tune-in to watch cute blondes.

“Megyn has greater intellect than O’Reilly and more balls. IO used to think O’Reilly just said stupid things and talked over people whom he disagreed to be “balanced”. It turns out he just isn’t that tuned in.”

BORe reminds of the arrogant Ivy Leaguers, I have the misfortune of knowing, working with or under.

Only they and BORe know everything, and the rest of us should be talked over or ignored.

I have no idea if BORe is an Ivy Leagdiot. He acts like one.

Megyn Kelly is definitely photogenic even if a bit over-made-up at times to the point of appearing 'plastic' but she is demonstrably smart and not afraid to ask tough questions and demand real answers.

I watch Bill O'Reilly every night because his show is well produced and interesting. However, his arrogance and bully persona are tiresome, even though I agree with him more often than not. O'Reilly's lack of knowledge on some pertinent issues is surprising and undercuts his pretensions of being omniscient. At 64, he is probably near retirement (possibly involuntary) and Megyn Kelly is being groomed to replace him. That can't happen soon enough for me.
