Christians out number the atheists by the millions. The U.S. is a Christian country despite what odumbo thinks or tries to portray. Its time Christians start “pushing back” against the rhetoric and take this nation back.

“There’s nothing like the holidays for laughing at anti-religious malcontents...”

I don’t think that’s what Jesus would do.

And what did Jesus do to the atheists who did everything they could to destroy what Jesus and his ministry?

“There’s nothing like the holidays for laughing at anti-religious malcontents...” I don’t think that’s what Jesus would do.

Matthew 23: But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. 24You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

25“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

27“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. 28In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

29“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. 30And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. 32Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started!

I don’t know but He did say “Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one”.

Why would they need swords unless to defend themselves?

I meant “He”, not he. This is too early for me. ; )
I was writing to the laughing/mocking aspect of the article. I just can’t imagine spending this special season laughing at those who are lost.

They are lost because that is their choice. Jesus never forces Himself on anyone.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

I just can’t imagine spending this special season laughing at those who are lost.

...since ‘those who are lost’ appear to wield a disproportionate amount of political and legal power in our debased culture, I wouldn’t think it too unseemly for us to have a little bit of fun at their expense...

...after all, we’ve lost our prayers and symbols in the daily world...and they do say laughter is good for the inner soul...

Bottom line: the holiday season is a time for people of faith to experience togetherness, love, peace, sharing, and joy of all sorts. Atheists get none of that, so they use that time to throw a tantrum.

What makes things even more amusing is that the end of the year is the strongest time of the year for depression caused by lack of sunlight. Celebrations and joyfulness helps to alleviate some of this. But atheists get nothing, so get to enjoy depression at its finest.
