Rush Limbaugh's radio tirades will have a new home on Los Angeles airwaves next year.
KFI-AM (640) is losing the conservative host's three-hour show, long a fixture on the station, to KTLK-AM (1150), which owner Clear Channel is hoping to pump up as an outlet exclusively dedicated to right-leaning chatter.
The company, which also owns KFI, will use Limbaugh's audience to anchor the new lineup for KTLK, which is being dubbed "The Patriot" and will also feature national shows by Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.
Clear Channel is making similar changes in San Francisco, where Limbaugh will leave its KKSF-AM (910), and move to KNEW-AM (960), which is also retooling its lineup as a destination for conservative audiences. The changes are set to take effect for the first broadcast of 2014.

SV Ping?
At least he won’t be following smarmmeister Alan Colmes any more!
Wow!
This won’t help KFI. Aside from Rush and George Nouri, their line up sucks. I have been listening to Rush on KFI since 1989. I hope the new station has decent coverage so I won’t have to listen to the Mexican stations bleeding over.
What? You don’t like Jesus Christ?
Savage is gloating about it, as if it is a big demotion for Rush. He is obsessed with self importance and grandeur.
He’s still around? Who knew?
Is that still on? I used to listen to that when I had to work on Sundays. Maybe I should have specified weekdays. Leo is pretty good too.
“I hope the new station has decent coverage”

Can you not listen online?
He’ll stop gloating when his inevitable disastrous WABC radio afternoon ratings are publicized.
Sure ...why ... you can even not listen in your car, or at work ... and .... you can not listen while sitting taking a dump.
“Hes still around? Who knew?”

Yea, I am listening to him as I type. I admit, he is a bit eaten up with self-importance, and/or inferiority complex.
I listened to Rush before going national in Sacramento in 1987. Then trsnsferred to LA and missed him. I was cheering when I heard KFI picked him up in 1989. End of an era for KFI who has Bill Handle legal show still I assume.
If I am home I usually listen on I heart radio, but when I am driving for work its KFI.
That happened when he got syndicated. As a local talker he was tolerable.
Handel is the morning guy now. I used to like him but he got too liberal. You can tell he is reading articles, but trying to pass himself off as knowledgeable. Like most liberals his arguments consist of ridiculing conservatives because he has no facts on his side.
” you can even not listen in your car, or at work “

I do not work and I do not have a car, haha....
I do not have to listen live. I use DAR.fm to record Rush, Savage, Kook to Kook, or any other radio program. I can play or save them for whenever I want. I can listen to Savage live, as it is noon here, but I have the option to pause him or listen when I want.....Great service. www.dar.fm
It looks like iHeart.com carries both KNEW and KTLK, so I’m good...
This is a total burn on lefty radio. The remnants of Air America reside on this station.
Stephanie Miller, Randy Rhoades.
All gone.
Ha ha.
They are using Limbaugh to boost this station’s audience.
The left alternative didn’t work. Again.
