Saudi Arabia's highest religious council, the Majlis al-Ifta al-Aala, has threatened a "religious war" over any attempts to implement equal prayer rights for Jews on Jerusalem's Temple Mount.
The Temple Mount is Judaism's holiest site, the site of two Jewish Temples and where some Jewish traditions state the world began. It is also the site of the large "Al Aqsa" Islamic complex, which is built on top of the ruins of the Jewish Temples. The site itself is administered by the Waqf Islamic trust.
In measures Jewish activists decry as discriminatory, only Muslims may pray or carry out any other religious rituals on the Mount. Jews who attempt to pray are regularly arrested. Just yesterday the Mount was closed to Jews after a Jewish group sang songs in honor of the festival of Hanukkah, in response to harassment by Muslim extremists at the site.
The council condemned what it said were "Israeli attempts to split the Al Aqsa Mosque" by implementing alternate prayer arrangements for Jewish and Muslim worshippers, as well as by establishing a fixed area for Jewish worship.
In an announcement issued on November 30th, the council alleged that "the occupation authorities [i.e. Israel] are trying to create a Jerusalem 2.0", and went on to claim that the Israeli government is trying to "complete the construction of a museum at the foot of the Al Aqsa Mosque". That latter allegation echoes claims by Palestinian Authority media that the Israeli government plans to build a large complex - complete with a "Jewish museum" - near the Mughrabi Gate.

The Bible tells us that the temple will be re-built.
This news is not a surprise.
Jews should have taken total control of this place after the Six Day War....what were they thinking!?

Go right ahead, and see what it gets you.
And it will probably be built next to the Dome of the Rock, from the way it’s worded in the Bible.
As it turns out, that Temple will be the AntiChrist’s Temple and it will be destroyed in the end. But it will be built in the meantime.
Most likely it will be built straight to the West of the Golden Gate, which gives room for the Dome of the Rock to be there, too.
How about Saudi lets Jews and Christians go to Mecca to pray?
That was, to the best of my knowledge, Moshe Dayan who gave authority to the Waqf. If it wasn't him, apologies, but then it was some other "all I want is World Peace" nutcase Israeli liberal who didn't understand that the Arab Muslims are implaccable enemies who will never give up.
Right after Bibi levels the Iranan nuke facilities he ought to remove the Waqf's authority and reinstitute Jewish Prayer on Temple Mount for the first time in 1,943 years. The musloids already hate him, and will be threatening war when Iran gets hit, so what is there to lose?
Islam delende est!
I doubt that anyone in Israel gives a rip what some retard in Saudi Arabia has to say.
Question: How many rounds of 120mm does it take to level the Al Aqsa Mosque?
The Qoran echoes the Bible on this.

That is exactly what they are afraid of.
No need. The Temple will descend from Heaven, and squish it flat, spitting out woshippers like water melon seeds. Then they’ll all high-tail it to the Hijaz, apologizing and stringing up terrorists as they go.
Maybe the Israeli government should build especially hard and efficient garrisons/labs tactically close to the Mount.
That’s what the museum really will be;-?
Need an outhouse being blown out the top of the mushroom.
One of the last major End Times Prophecies awaiting fulfillment before Christ's glorious return (depending on how one interprets End Times Scripture) is the all-out assault on Israel.
Please, please, PLEASE, make this the best Christmas ever. Go ahead and attack Israel. Really. I want to see it.

This is Israel’s fault, for not nationalizing all holy sites, to dispel any notion that any other nation, or even religion, has a claim to them. While they can be generous with lease terms of holy sites, those leases can and should be based on good behavior.
In fact, by doing so, the Israelis could do something that the Saudis do.
Currently, the Saudis have their holy sites managed by the Wahhabi sect, that truly wants to overthrow the Saud family and make Saudi a religious state like Iran (but Sunni). But when they get too annoying, the Saud just suggest that the Wahhabi can lose that management, and it can be transferred to a different sect, the Sufi sect.
This threat scares the poop out of the Wahhabis, so they behave themselves.
Importantly, Wahhabis also control the al-Asqa mosque, and Israel could and should make the same threat. If Israel nationalized al-Asqa, and took it away from the Wahhabis, and offered it to the Sufi, you can be that the Sufi would be the nicest, friendliest, most pleasant tenants for the next 100 years, at least.
And the Wahhabis would effectively be kicked out of Israel. They would lose enormous amounts of “face” in Islam. It might even create an opportunity for the Saud to do the same in Arabia, which would overnight change the entire character of much of Islam.
All because Israel finally did something that most other countries have long done: declare that their territory is their territory, no one else’s.
They do only manage the site under an agreement. And they’ve violated that agreement more times than anyone cares to count. In 2000, when Sharon went to the Temple Mount, it was to remind the Waqf that it is our site, after he unilaterally took bulldozers and churlishly removed numerous archaeological artifacts and deposited them at the municipal dump, in violation of the agreement. I’d say that the time has come to rip it up and have some Kurdish Suffi serve as Waqf.
