Respecting your beliefs- there are many who believe visually what they then have filled in with detail by others— who have been proven incorrect. There are two areas where people naturally believe what some have said happened (in the case of Oliver Stone, the looney tried to portray 6 shots— never any part of a factual conclusion).

First is the “from the front right” shot (ie. the “grassy knoll” concept) and the head motion. Forensic neurologists have studied the human body’s reaction to a bullet penetration, to include spinal insult, nerve dermatomes affected, reflex responses, and all kinds of head wound penetrations. The horrible fact is that the last of the three shots came from behind and exited JFK’s frontal brain cavity taking it away forward and upwards(visible, again horribly in frame 313 of the zapruder film)and the forensic neurophysiologists in the Warren Commission and many other later experts described the involuntary reflex response of the neck and back muscles jerking the torso backwards in response. It is textbook for their profession in legal testimony in the courtroom. And a normal response would be— “how can that be”? It is well defined.

Second, the ballistics done at the first and several other investigations, with increasingly technological advances (including sound analysis and timing of the shots)concluded there were three shots fired with one missing, and testing the timing of an expert (oswald was) with the bolt action mannlicher carbine, getting off three shots in 5.6 seconds (corresponding to the films examined and their rate of speed of recording-again a gruesome task but critical.

The whole series of events are in my youth memory— including live watching of Ruby shooting oswald. They were nasty times of a different kind from our hi-tech instant satellite kind of terror today. And Castro, and the mob had the motivation, logistics and skills to support a cut-out nut communist (communists are known to detest Catholic leaders of the free world and otherwise). How much better our world today would have been if LBJ had not been president-the lives saved in Vietnam for example- how much further the US would have progressed vs. where we have ended up. Just keeping this short, sure, I understand totally what you say, a bullet to the rear of the head could at first push the head forward as we are seeing in 312, 313, But inside the head and up in the temple area at the side of the head, the bullet basically explodes, pushes that front/top skull area out and that would create a force to push the head back. That's how I see it. Also, this exploding bullet might be well a different kind of bullet from the "Single Bullet" (Full Metal Jacket) that stayed in tact. That is what the Mortal Error thesis is, doesn't mean a unique bullet has to act a certain way, maybe it could do both but that doesn't seem as likely.
