Ever so slowly, reporters are starting to figure out a version of black mob violence called the Knockout Game.
The first chip in the wall fell in New York, where Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said last week that Orthodox Jews in Crown Heights were the victims of eight episodes of mob violence and vandalism.
He did not see a pattern.
But the New York Post did, reporting: “The way the game is played, one of a number of young blacks decides to show that he can knock down some stranger on the streets, preferably with one punch, as they pass by. Often, some other member of the group records the event so that a video of that ‘achievement’ is put on the Internet to be celebrated.”
The violence, caught on video, was so egregious even the CBS affiliate in New York had trouble ignoring it. The station reported that Rabbi Yaacov Behrman said “he believes the assaults are part of a disturbing game by some African-American teens.”
The same station, however, reported on the Knockout Game in Hoboken just a few days before without mentioning the central organizing feature of the violence: The race of the perpetrators.

disparity of force allows a victim to use equal or greater force in instances where they are attacked in surprise/ambush, as well as if the are attacked by a group even if the group may not have what are considered lethal weapons.

there are other reasons for disparity of force, if the victim is elderly, injured, disabled, if lose glasses are legally blind, if a smaller person, etc.
It was nice of the New York Post to sell Commissioner Kelly a clue.
Though I would hate to suggest it....but since we already have hate-crimes....might it be possible to have ambush-crimes?
I’ll probably get into trouble for suggesting it. But the reality is that we have a zoo-like atmosphere brewing, and the caged animals are mostly free and behaving in a fashion that is unacceptable.
Ray Kellys a smart guy. Done a lot to clean up NYC and is about to be fired by the incoming Socialist mayor for it.
I’m guessing he knows fully what is going on here, put it out as a little hand grenade for DeBlasio to deal with full plausible deniability knowing that the NY Post would figure out the racial aspect and run with it while his hands were kept clean.
That may sound cold blooded, but it’s what’s required in a politically charged environment like the one he happens to be in.

The knockout game has been going on for years. Earlier reports said the game was much more violent. They said that after the person was knocked to the ground, the remaining members of the mob took turns jumping on the victim’s head until his brains squished out. The person achieving that result won the game.
Has the game become more benign or is the media just omitting parts of the story?
Urban black teens in America are as ruthless as Africa’s child soldiers, and anyone who exposes themselves to these attacks is a fool. Victims may live or work in the vicinity, which may be unavoidable, but otherwise (such as when non-NYers visit the city as tourists) they are fools. They don’t deserve the attacks, but they don’t deserve sympathy either; nobody can plead ignorance anymore as to what we’re dealing with in our urban “youth”.
Unfortunately, black criminals have the protection of Holder’s Just Us department as well.

True; here in NJ we’re hoping for a windfall from the next exodus of taxpayers and businesses out of NYC. David Dinkins, as mayor of NYC, did great things for northern NJ, especially when he wouldn’t let the police stop the pogrom in Crown Heights in the early 1990s.

The media work up because they attacked Jews. They didn’t care when White people were being attacked.
The ‘knockout game’ can be negated by a corresponding ‘double tap game’ response.

I’ve noticed that this game doesn’t appear to have taken off here in Texas. Imagine that.
It did not happen when I was in Texas either, but there is a reason for that. They know Texans will retaliate.
