Freshman New York Congresswoman Grace Meng says she was hit on the head and robbed in Washington but was not seriously injured.

Meng is a Democrat representing the New York City borough of Queens. She said in a statement Wednesday that she suffered a bruise on her chin and underwent a CAT scan after the attack Tuesday night near Capitol Hill.
