Gone (temporarily, I hope!) but DEFINITELY not forgotten! Quinn and Rose are off the air, but they WILL be back! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have!

Another day without my morning dose of common sense...
I’ve been getting up with these guys almost every weekday for over 18 years. Signed the petition and emailed multiple people at WPGB, Clear Channel and iHeart Radio (my connection on the road). The only reason I had iHeart on my computers and phone was to listen to Quinn & Rose and I told them so.

The fact that they had a live broadcast scheduled for December 6th might suggest that they expected to be on the air on December 6th...
What did they replace Quinn with? And when do the first new ratings come in? I hope they are abominable.

Something in this whole incident STINKS!
Some guy who goes by the moniker “Bloomdaddy” out of Wheeling, West Virginia. It’s a morning “variety” (sports, entertainment, etc.) call-in show. I listened for a very short time on Monday morning and, at one point, he said, “Hey, I’m open-minded about everything.” It was at that point that I concluded “They’re gone” and turned it off.
As my father told me a long time ago, “If you’re too open minded, your brains will fall out of your head.”
FWIW I can’t see the Bloomthingie guy being permanent. Ratings trends will be out in a couple of weeks.

I have Fox and Friends on downstairs. There was a segment about Costo putting the Bible under the “fiction” section and Costo had issued an apology.
There is no question that there is a war on Christianity going on in this country.
This past July, SiriusXM Satellite Radio announced that Bell would launch a new, live, nightly call-in show, "Art Bell's Dark Matter," in September.
But since Bell's new program Sept. 16 premiere, there have been, according to Bell on his website, many problems with streaming his show.

Mr S and I get Coast to Coast to listen to while we sit around the fire when the weather is nice. I remember George Noory mentioning that Art Bell was starting a new show on Sirius.
Boy, that C2C show sure does shy away from criticizing Obama AT ALL! However, in the last few months, I’ve noticed that there have been a couple of guests on who have done so. Usually they get interrupted. I like John B Wells though. He tends to be more conservative, and he has a hard time leaving the politics out of the discussion!
I concur...he certainly has “G-d” issues.
I think it was Wilson who was at the 50th Gettysburg Anniversary; Kennedy at the 100th. DearLeader had a “meeting” w/ “executives” at the Four Seasons, so he couldn’t hop into Marine1 and take the 65 mile trek to S. PA.

If WPGB thought they had poor ratings with Q&R wait till they see what Bloomdummy draws!
I think he is a placeholder...maybe an entire format change after the first of the year.
Mrs p6 had a surprise for me a couple of minutes ago. Because she has helped out at the local library she can get in on new books before they are generally available.
She brought home Sarah’s new book, “Good Tidings, Great Joy.”
Now if I could get the money together to buy Sarah’s Ford Expedition mayormobile from when she was mayor of Wasilla. It’s being auctioned on Ebay starting at 10k.
