Stories like this are, unfortunately, useful for propaganda. A child was set on fire -- who doesn't think that is tragic and wrong?? It is a terrible thing and ought never to happen.
A child set someone else on fire -- who doesn't think that child is a monster?? There is no excuse, no justification.
Now, stepping away from these emotionally-charged specifics ...
Do I think parents are wrong to allow children to be transexuals? Yes.
Do I think it is child abuse? Yes.
Do I think transexuals are mentally ill? Yes.
Do I think that treating mental illness with surgery is barbaric? Yes.
Do I expect kids to be kids and be mean to kids who are different? Yes.
I have sympathy for the victim in this case. I have scorn for the perpetrator.
But I do not lose site of the immorality of the LGBT community.
I reserve from judging the victim for his/her condition because I am aware that there are individuals born with both sex organs and gender awareness is linked to hormonal activity, which is not immune from biological malfunction. It’s not all black and white and those that insist it is are stubbornly blind to physical evidence.
The crime as I can see is in the first individual setting on fire the second individual.
