Somebody cue the Debbie Downer horn. How bad are things for President Obama? In recent days, the Washington Post has brought us a double-barreled downer blast from two pundits who normally support the president.
All you need to know about Dana Milbank's and Ruth Marcus' columns you can glean from their respective final sentences, which read: "Maybe the president does understand that the game is over." And "Can he recover? I’m sorry to say: I’m not at all confident." Wah-wah, indeed!

Actually, I think you may be confused about just who has forgotten what, I don’t think Obama has forgotten something he never believed in in the first place so much as WE THE CITIZENS have forgotten. He is being true to his original intent which he actually did make obvious if people had taken the trouble to listen and understand, it is we, the citizens of this once great nation, who have forgotten who we used to be. America voted in a scoundrel of the lowest sort imaginable and imagined that he would be the solution to all of our problems which were mainly imaginary to begin with but are daily being made real and horrific by this imaginary messiah and his band of demons. As the great man said, those who think they can be both ignorant and free are dead wrong, it ain’t gonna happen. We are now electing the ignorant to high office and enabling the ignorant to parade around as if they are actually superior to those who know what is really going on. We actually have people in congress who, in some cases, are not mentally fit to work at a minimum wage job. It ain’t agonna end well.
Yes, and blacks in this country would continue to vote for him even if he reinstated slavery.
I think blacks have become used to slavery. They especially like the new slavery. They do not feel any need to work or achieve.
To be fair, to the many wonderful blacks that are proud to have escaped the dem plantation. Kudos to you. Welcome home!

I still have a hard copy of all 1364 pages of the 1993 HR 3600 Health Care bill. It’s only about 2 inches thick.
