Republican senator reportedly calls presentation on Iran talks anti-Israeli; aide says Kerry told senators to ignore Israelis
Republicans were left unconvinced after US Secretary of State John Kerrys closed-door presentation to the Senate Banking Committee on Wednesday, which was aimed at delaying a new round of sanctions against Iran.
It was an emotional appeal, committee chairman Sen. Bob Corker said, according to the US-based media outlet BuzzFeed. I have to tell you I was very disappointed in the presentation.
He said that the briefings by Kerry, Vice President Joe Biden and Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman provided no details of a deal being considered in talks between the Islamic Republic and the P5+1 in Geneva this month.
I am stunned that in a classified setting when youre trying to talk to the very folks that would be originating legislation relative to sanctions, to have such a lack of specificity, BuzzFeed reported Corker as saying.
Sen. Mark Kirk called the officials presentation very unconvincing, and added that it was fairly anti-Israeli.
I was supposed to disbelieve everything the Israelis had just told me, and I think the Israelis probably have a pretty good intelligence service.
The BuzzFeed report cited a Senate aide who said that every time anybody would say anything about what would the Israelis say theyd get cut off and Kerry would say you have to ignore what theyre telling you, stop listening to the Israelis on this.
Kerry said the negotiators should have a few weeks more to see if they can reach an agreement.
The Iranian regime hasnt paused its nuclear program, said Rep. Ed Royce, a Republican and House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman. Why should we pause our sanctions efforts as the administration is pressuring Congress to do?

So Kerry can fly in from Geneva, brandish some papers, and claim "Peace in our time"...???
I can think of no other oonceivable reason.
Ideology trumps sanity.
I would rather ignore Kerry !
Say ,.. how's that middle east political action program going , so far ,... ?
Buddying up with al Qada ?
Giving them arms and ammo
Right ! ..enough said !
Surprised Kerry said anything at all. His new surgery-deformed face doesn’t appear capable of speech.

Sen. Mark Kirk said the Israelis had told him that the total changes proposed set back the program by 24 days.
Kirk also criticized Sherman, whose record on North Korea is a total failure and embarrassment to her service. Sherman was part of the U.S. negotiating team that focused on North Korea in the 1990s.
Wendy wants you to forget her service on North Korea, Kirk said. You shouldnt allow her.
You can say that again!!!
If Kerry could pull this off he would be Obama’s hero because everyone would look with wonder away from Obamacare.
Evil men, both.
NO, we don’t.
Kerry may be hoping for another shot at the white house.
I want to know how in the world did we get so many corrupt, traitorous buffoons in leadership roles in this country at the same time? Obama, Hillary, Holder, Kerry, McCain, Roberts, Pelosi, Durbin, Reid, and the list goes on.
And one of our best allies keeps getting thrown under the bus. Has there ever been a more anti-Israeli govt here? Then again the good Book says eventually she will have no friends as all will turn against her.
He should move to Iran.
surrender at all cost Kerry
if you were a cartoonist in training and you wanted to get the very essence of haughty, uptight, self important, over educated, political type, you would draw John Kerry and you wouldn’t even have to look at him to do it. He is the character that the 99% despise and Barry appointed him because he knew he would fail.
UNFIT FOR COMMAND
Kerry has a lot of experience with emotional appeal. You KNOW he has to cry and beg for Luvie to let him take the yacht out for a spin. Especially since his driver has to take him to another state to pick it up.
