Bill Clinton is now the biggest Democratic name to call on President Obama to keep his promise that people could keep their insurance plans under his health law.
“I personally believe, even if it means a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got,” Clinton said. The former president said young people on the individual market were the main group to be affected by the misleading promise, a story of someone he recently met who had their plan canceled.
A number of Democratic and Republican members of Congress have introduced plans to extend the grandfather provisions in the Affordable Care Act so more Americans can in fact keep their plans.

Clinton is not stupid. I don’t mean the John Kerry kinda stupid denials, I mean Clinton knows this was a law with all the consequences written into it. The only way to honor Obama’s promises is to repeal the entire law.
Yep. Even though Hillary wants the same thing as Obama. But it makes it look like the Clintons “care” about the masses. That is what is most important right now for the Clintons to regain the White House. Provide a contrast. When the Republicans bring up the healthcare debacle, the Hillary can say she was for people being able to keep their insurance policies. Takes the sting out of the charge by the Republicans.
