Planning is just one of those things i don’t discuss with those of a statist mindset. Why bother? If they wish to act in such a manner that they’re likely to take themselves out of the gene pool then so be it. I wouldn’t wish to offend their cherished darwinian ideals.
Kartographer I realize that you may have a more religious take on it. Are we compelled to evangelize our less enlightened neighbors into planning?

My feeling is that there is plenty of anecdotal evidence and clear words as the fact that prepping has a bibical bases.
Just as we offer to tell the lost about the Lord and how they may secure their place in heaven so we teach them to secure their famlies here on earth.

I like to add this:
"But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someones life, that persons life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood." Ezekiel 33:6
And though I feel its a duty there have been many times its been a real pain, what with the name calling, bs to a point of having to bring Jim Rob in even to the threats which though many were in anger and bluster more than a couple were serious.

Nowhere in Genesis 6 does it tell us that Noah evangelized to the wicked. He followed God’s command and prepped, and saved his family and the beasts of the earth.
If it was good enough for Noah...

The “discussion” wasn’t entirely voluntary on my part.
I have a libinlaw that was helping us move to our homestead.
When she saw the stores, she figured it out and was ANG GREE! Irrationally so.
