My roommate in college (Vice President of College Democrats, for those who haven't followed my rants in the past) got pulled over about 1 AM for running a red light. On his bicycle. The officer determined my roommate had been drinking, so he arrested him for DUI, and impounded his bicycle.

I had to pick him up from jail the next day, and take him to get his bike back.

Eventually, the DUI charge got dropped, but he had to pay the ticket for running a red light. On a bicycle.

I know someone that got an RUI. Really. Talk about hitting rock bottom.
