OK, his lie is documented on video at least 29 times. The left says that delusional people shouldn’t be permitted to possess firearms, but support letting a delusional person control the largest nuclear arsenal in the world. Who’s delusional?
It was their advertising slogan that they knew could win them the election, so Obama stuck with it out of self-preservation, even though he knew that it wasn't going to be true for many people.
The problem with the "narcissism" interpretation is that the deception included many other people -- a large part of the administration and the Democratic Party and the media. It wasn't just a result of one person's psychology.
News Flash: Pathological liars are so good they actually believe the lies they tell. Its the reason they can pass lie detector tests. Its also the reason they are not admissable in a court of law as evidence.
They don't believe their lies, but they don't relate to any consequences from them. As a result, they can lie without remorse or any sense of guilt. This allows them to pass lie detector tests which only detect an emotional shame response attached to lies. They know when they are lying but don't see anything wrong with that. They also have great confidence that nobody else will be able to tell that they are lying. They fully expect everybody else to believe their lies.
Psychopath.

I had a coworker relationship with a very charming psychopath once, I caught on to her lies right away, and was quite upset she thought I was so stupid as to believe her lies, challenging her just resulted in more lies or outright anger.
I knew she was a psychopath because a shrink told me, and after reading Dr Hare’s books I was convinced of it.
For Obama it’s the people are too stupid to grasp what he’s saying...they can’t help their ignorance of Newspeak......we’re too busy hugging guns and and our religion...............
That’s right......Obama couldn’t apologize all he did was explain but their was not apology in his interview whatsoever. If he did anything he indicated the people are to stupid to understand his meaning....
When there is a greater truth, it is not a lie

I was being “tongue in cheek”. I’ve had the unpleasant learning experience of knowing a few psychopaths in my life. All of us have known at least one. Often we never even know it.
I meant that they “can’t lie” because everything they tell you is “the truth” as far as they are concerned.
I have a SIL that is like that. She makes up a lie, says it out loud, then assigns it to the truth category because it was actually vocalized. She has accused me of so many things that my wife (her sister) finally severed all contact with her. She truly believes every lie she has told about me is factual. So, she’s “not lying”.
The only thing a wise person can do is get as far away as possible from people that exhibit pathological lying. They are damn dangerous. No concept of right or wrong. And absolutely no concern whatsoever for any damage they do to the lives of others.
To lie one has to know the truth, and deliberately say the opposite (which may be done for blameworthy or blameless reasons -- St. John Chrysostom gives examples of blameless lies). To bullsh*t one does not need to know the truth, one simply says whatever is expedient without regard to whether it is true or false. In the end Frankfurt concludes bullsh*ting is a greater enemy of truth than lying.

According to Dr Hare, if my memory is correct, 7% or 1 in 14 people are psychopaths.
The psychopath I knew laid cops, then told lies about me. Talk about trouble. She told me she was on birth control pills since age 13, I suspected the very first person she ever did was a cop and realized how effective it was.
One memorable quote from her was when she said she wanted to marry me. I told her she’s already married, her reply was that it was not her fault because her husband was the one that wanted to get married.
I shunned her. She threatened my life, illegally entered my home. This very charming little liar had all convinced I was the villain and since the cops were compromised, they did nothing except harass me.
