Fukushima is the most terrifying situation I can imagine. You ask, what can we do? First of all you have got a government that is in total collusion with Tepco, theyre lying through their teeth. [
] The fourth one has been so badly damaged that the fear is if theres another quake of a 7 or above that that building will go, and then all hell breaks loose. And the probability of a 7 or above quake in the next 3 years is over 95%. [
] They dont know what to do. We need to get a group of international experts to go in with complete freedom to do what they suggest. Right now the Japanese government has too much pride to admit that. Ive seen a paper which says that if in fact the fourth plant goes under an earthquake and those rods are exposed, its bye-bye Japan, and everybody on the West Coast of North America should evacuate. Now if that isnt terrifying, I dont know what is.

I know, I was being sarcastic...sorry. Thanks for the link.
That would be a million trillion times worse.
David Suzuki is a fraud. Sun News (called Fox North, but this is not true, as Sun is so much more conservative and harder hitting than Fox) constantly exposes the corruption known as David Suzuki.
Fear...terrifying...worst I can imagine...all Hell breaks loose.
We are all going to f***ing die!
No matter how much they try to scare me with this article there is one word that strikes more fear in my heart...obamacare. And after that there are two... president hillary. After those nothing much seems very scary, except maybe....president biden.
He’s your nation’s Al Gore.
Those three things are actually scary, and unfortunately quite possible.
My bad. I really need to work on my /s skills. :)
True that ... but the good news is that John McCain just voted for you to use the bathroom and locker room facilities of your choice.
Yeah bring in the international experts. That’ll do the trick. Maybe the UN can take over the situation. Or maybe barry can go there and fix things. Yeah, send barry. Let him flap his gums and ears to disperse the radiation.
That would be so cool!
Where is my Blue Oyster Cult CD, dammit?
If it comes from David Suziki, you can pretty much bet that it is totally over the top fear mongering.
IMHO, he's as credible on science and technology as Al Gore.
Yup - he’s our Al Gore. Getting filthy rich spewing forth garbage.
“For the rest of the world and for the US specifically it poses at most a statistical increase in the chances of someone developing cancer that they may not otherwise develop.”
Yes, you are correct. Back in the 60’s I worked for an agency where we were frequently measuring radiation from the results of our experiments. We had to do a background radiation check before each measurement. It was during the time of testing in Nevada, both above ground and underground detonations of nuclear devices.
The background radiation readings were elevated after each test, but no where near what we have seen here in this country following the Fukushima ‘disaster’.
So, what is really the most terrifying...it is the leftists who grab onto these things, and seek to ‘rally’ an American response of cataclasmic reaction. It is pure fear mongering.
Now, that all being said, we need to do some things to protest ourselves, as you have so carefully suggested in your post. It is through diet. It is through supplementation. It is through being free from fear.
Fukushima, or your daily lives and diets...which will get you first? Not Fukushima.
Several years ago I attended a science fiction convention. One of the skits at the Masquerade had a woman in Japanese costume walking around the stage describing how she had decorated her home with rubble from Tokyo. At the end of the skit the announcer said, "Thank you, Mothra Stewart."
The comments following that article are as excellent as the article.
The radiation levels in America are essentially unchanged from before 3/2011 to now. My personal readings along with a number of professional associates show NO increase in
background in the past 2.5 years......and both I and most
of the associates I correspond with live in the western quarter of the US.
