The Idaho high school basketball coach fired after the school district deemed a photo of her fiancé grabbing her chest as “immoral” says she is “discouraged” that she was fired while her fiancé, the school’s varsity football coach, kept his job.
“Obviously, I don’t want to see my fiancé to get into trouble but I was a little bit discouraged,” Laraine Cook, 31, of Pocatella, Idaho, told GoodMorningAmerica.com today. “They told me it was because it was on my Facebook account that I was being terminated.”
Cook, the mother of two elementary school-aged children, was fired from her job as a substitute teacher and head coach of the Pocatello High varsity girls’ basketball team Oct. 21 after the photo, showing fiancé Tom Harrison touching her chest, was anonymously delivered to the office of the school district’s superintendent, Mary Vagner.

I don't "get" facebook. I've got email. I don't care what complete strangers think of me and I have no interest in the lives of total strangers.
I think she got canned for posting the picture, not for having her boob grabbed. Apparently her fiance did not post anything. If I'm reading it right.
This guy was simply trying to cover her boob to keep it from being photographed…… a gentlemen’s gesture.

Having been a Jr/Sr high school basketball coach for years, I was more prepared for the ‘partner’ to be of the same sex. In all my years as a boys coach I never, ever met a solitary female girls coach that was not of the lesbian persuasion. And all my experience is in small school districts, not larger urban district. Some of them were very good coaches but every one of them was a lesbian.
Whatever. This will end up in front of a jury full of low-info social media addicts who post to Facebook everytime they sneeze. What do you think they are gonna do with it?

But I think they both should be fired for this reason: the entire school will have seen it and it will always get in the way of normal student-teacher relationships, not to mention teacher-administration and teacher-parent relationships. They simply won't be able to do their jobs and the students will suffer for it.
Unfair maybe but the students come first - at least they're supposed to.
