Mike Duggan is the white democrat elected in Detroit. Being a businessman he may not be as union friendly as many. I know Dave Bing fought with the unions a lot.

I consider NJFatboy more of a danger than an asset to our cause, however I’m not fanatical about this point.
The Motown deal was interesting, basically the progressive system reached its logical endpoint of total breakdown, and no Democrat of any standing was even willing to take up the cause.
If the R gov and R mayor can produce some turnaround, it would be a blessing for the occupants.
