General blames 'Night Stalker' for military purge
WND ^ | Nnovember 6, 2013 | F. Michael Maloof

Who, or what, is behind the “purge” of top-level U.S. military officers during the Obama administration, with estimates of the number of senior officers fired during the last five years edging toward 200?

According to Retired Army Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, formerly the deputy commanding general of the Pacific Command, who has served as a Fox News senior military analyst , a good part of the blame belongs to Obama’s close adviser, Valerie Jarrett. Rampant “political correctness” due to her influence, Vallely tells WND, is now permeating the military and negatively affecting everyone from top generals to the ranks of the enlisted.

[snip] Jarrett, a Chicago lawyer with far-left roots, is one of Obama’s closest advisers, and has been throughout his career, well before his presidential campaign and Oval Office occupancy. She has shadowed his career, largely staying out of the limelight, but is today widely recognized as perhaps the single most influential person, aside from wife Michelle, on Barack Obama.

Vallely suggested her influence is forcing senior officers to watch everything military personnel say and do. Officially, the White House calls her a senior adviser with responsibilities for the offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, but insiders agree her influence on the president is unique and powerful.

Certainly can’t tell you that you’re wrong, just looking at her regular picture is scary at a certain level.

Your comment did cause me to wonder: What reference was used to characterize Rasputin’s actions before there was wide knowledge of Rasputin?

You mean what historical figure was equivalent to Rasputin before 1914? Good question....

The numbers are no different than any other time in the recent past.

What is your source for the comparative data?

“There is no purge, except in the minds of the conspiracy crowd. The numbers are no different than any other time in the recent past.”

Nine generals and flag officers have been relieved of duty under Obama just this year – widely viewed as an extraordinary number – and several sources put the total number of senior officers purged during the five years of the Obama administration as close to 200.

Prove your charge.

Never used to fall asleep with the TV on back then, as that obnoxious CBS theme music would blast me out of my twilight slumber.

Exactly, just one of those odd thoughts that jump into my brain sometimes so I thought sharing it on FR might lead to an interesting answer. That way, others can ponder it with me so I don’t feel lonely...LOL!!

Actually, as I was writing this, it came to me that the pre-1914 contemporary reference might not have been an historical figure but from literature: Machiavelli’s “The Prince” could have been a colloquial reference for Rasputin-like actions and scheming. Admittedly, not a perfect fit but of a type, anyway.

I’m a big history buff, but it’s hard for me to come up with another person who held no official office or title, was not a sexual consort, and yet had enormous influence over a ruler, and all of it was bad. Given some time, I may come up with someone.

you REALLY need to source this - there is a whole lot of information in your post - and I am not prepared to take you word for it though you seem nice enough...

What exactly do you want me to source? What is the evidence for a purge? Give me one documented case. Or, you can believe that nonsense that WND is publishing.

You can look at my many posts on this issue where I debunk the feeble attempts at producing evidence. I really like the one about the Admiral who supposedly was sacked for disagreeing about the Benghazi coverup who wasn’t even in the same ocean.

Look, dems are totalitarian banana republic liars. We’re NOT. If we want to take this country back we need to vote them out of office.

Female alien lizard acting as the regime’s Rasputin.

I used to think David Icke was a crackpot...until I saw a close-up of Valerie Jarrett. :)

Funnier still, he never fails to poo-poo the purge, one would think he’s a paid troll, he is so dedicated.

the evidence for the BELIEF that it was a purge has been posted recently a couple of times on this forum and that is what people are referring - from CBS News, breitbart and newsmax.

You posted statements regarding relativity of statistics, and some other stuff - it is your responsibility to provide the source of your numbers and comparisons - geez... get a grip..

You could please verify these statements as they include verifiable data and should be easily sourced if they are accurate:

1) "The numbers are no different than any other time in the recent past." today's numbers? numbers from the past?

2) "The real problem is that General and Flag officers are not resigning." where does this factoid come from - a statement of fact that should be verifiable.

I don't think you're nice, after all.

Both my opinions from my personal experience. You don’t need to accept my opinion, you have WND. You might want to check in with Info Wars as well.
