Thread for discussion of tonight's VA Gov Elecitons Result. Is this too early?

It really is. Those of us who are in VA and voted would note that it is a distinctly lighter crowd than last year (good news), and that the folks who were showing up were not smoking crack, were not needing help understanding the ballot as it wasn’t in serbo-croatian, and weren’t wearing biden for president T-shirts (also good news).
We’ll see how it goes.

Ditto. About those ads though... they ran ad nauseum last night... after awhile they have to hit the "diminishing returns" zone...
Voted at 7:00. When asked for id I handed them my gun permit. They panicked. Two observers, probably from the UN, raised out of their seats and started texting or tweeting or something. They asked if i had a dl. I said no. They asked if I had photo id. I said no. They told me to see the election chief who took one look at my ccw and said it was perfectly valid. He said he was getting one for himself. My wife, who is a lib, was giving me the look so I decided to have a little fun. I loudly stated the situation and finished with some lines about being denied the right to vote and the dems and voter i.d. I got an earful in the car.

I voted in Norfolk this morning, and when I handed over my DL as ID, the poll worker said they had to call the registrar to confirm my status. I’ve been voting in every election there for more than 10 years!
I ended up having to fill out a paper registration before they would unblock me. After the dust settles, I am going to check on the status and find out WTH happened.
Did it feel like you got purged or just deactivated in the rolls?

Been seeing tweets ALL DAY from ID’s with only 2 or 3 posts in their history (all supporting Dems) urging vote for McAuliffe.
Seems the “machine” is active.

I was number 1270 out of a possible 3346. Expecting 40% turnout for my precinct.
I’m not sure. They it might have been because I didn’t respond to something that came in the mail, but I’m usually aware of something that I need to do in order to maintain voter status (which I didn’t think was even necessary as long as I voted every election).
I'm always entertained by these so-called "conservatives" like that asshole Virginia Beach mayor Will Sessoms, who calls himself a "conscience voter" by supporting McAuliffe. How these people can look at themselves in the mirror and state their pride in having put a corrupt POS like McAuliffe into the Governor's Mansion is beyond me. Shame on them.
I know y’all tried some voting rolls fixing a while back, but something happened.. trusting some Virginians will inform.
