Shut up already. Faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. Stop working for the other side with your words.

This is a discussion board, not a cheerleading site...the votes are in, and folks are expressing opinions.

Easy, babe, easy....

possibly. But I don’t think a mayor has enough oomph for a natl ticket. Also, one of the reasons the dems won FL the last two times was they did well with hispanics and cubans in FL. I don’t think putting a guy named Castro on the ticket will go over well there. It’s why Gore lost FL. Elian Gonzales cost the dems the state. Clinton got 35% of the cuban vote in 96. Gore got 20% in 00.

Clinton herself will do well enough with hispanics. They’ll need to balance out the ticket.

But Castro will be in the mix. If he was a Gov or Senator and his name was Lopez, he’d be a shoe-in.

Hillary’s VP will be Castro from San Antonio.

That would be my prediction as well. Woman/Hispanic firsts. The only thing that gives me a bit of hesitation w that predition (besides the obvious)...is that Castro is so young looking.

McAuliffe should be doing better at this time, but we are not doing well enough

Has Cuccinelli's strongest precincts reported?

Unfortunately, I agree. Cuc is doing much better than I thought he would, given the latest polls, but there is too much Northern VA out there yet to overcome. It looks like McAuliffe by about 5 in my calculation, hopefully Obenshain pulls out the AG post. The Reps are clearly keeping the Assembly majority by a wide margin, so the “disaster” the Rinos were screaming about pre-election ain’t materializing. One good thing is that Libertarian Sarvis is not getting the 10 percent minimum he needs to get the Libertarians a permanent place on the ballot at the expense of the Republicans.

Anectdotal, but this morning at 7:30 in Loudoun, I did not see anyone take the proferred Dem sample ballot. I told the guy I would rather die. Other women waved it off as well.

Four conservative women hid out in my federal government office bathroom in Prince William County to talk about the race. The mother of one had experienced malfunctioning voting machines that switched Cuccinelli votes to McAuliffe. She caught it and that machine was “retired from service to be re-calibrated.” I suggested to the others that they use paper ballots.

“Hillary Rodman’s VP will be the new governor of Virginia.......Terry - bet the bank on it.”

I would not disagree! And to think that an Impeached President may be going back to the White House is more than I can fathom!!

If you are looking for good news based on 2012 comparison

McAuliffe is dramatically underperforming Obama in the five largest Virginia Counties.

Both candidates are underperforming— because of Sarvis.

But it does appear that Sarvis has damaged McAuliffe more than Cuccinelli.
