YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan The Army has relieved the commander of its largest base in Japan after an investigation into alleged misconduct, according to a U.S. Army Japan press statement sent late Friday.
The investigation had been ongoing since June 7, when Col. Eric Tilley was suspended from his job as commander of U.S. Army Garrison Japan.
Maj. Gen. James C. Boozer, Sr., commander of U.S. Army Japan and I Corps (Forward), officially relieved Tilley on Friday for lack of confidence based on the results of the inquiry, according to the press statement.
The statement provided no other details. Reached via email, U.S. Army Japan spokesman Maj. Kevin Toner said, " it would be inappropriate to make public the allegations because the investigation did not lead to findings of criminal misconduct."
The Tilley inquiry was not related to Boozers predecessor, Maj. Gen. Michael T. Harrison, Toner said. Harrison was also suspended in June while officials looked into whether he may have failed to report or properly investigate a sexual assault claim.
Toner would not address rumors that other officials have been relieved of their duties from Camp Zama as a result of alleged misconduct, nor did he elaborate on what had happened to Tilleys civilian deputy, Jeffrey Wertz, who was temporarily detailed to other duties in June during a misconduct investigation.
Col. Joy Curriera has been appointed to the position of garrison commander at Zama.
Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated Col. Joy Curriera's title as being U.S. Army Japan Commander.

TheDon:
Your brief post really catches my eye.
Here is my rambling response:
Obama moves quickly on particular items - ObamaCare & Immigration, for instance.
Once he gets what he wants, he is already on the job on something to "fundamentally change" America.
At the same time, he has elevated himself, courtesy of "Cult of Personality" and Valerie Jarrett and Michelle inch by inch to the point we wonder if he is scheduled for a third, and guaranteed, election. And, the thought of Martial Law is on many minds (mine!), even on Free Republic.
I can't figure out his big picture but there is more than we have seen so far. Way far.
I'm trying to take what we have seen so far and extrapolate to his and America's destination but there is, IMHO, something that will make our jaws absolutely drop.
Mr. h kinda' blows me off when I bring up "food insurance". When he gets home this evening we will go through the various plans.
By tomorrow, we will have ordered some "food insurance"!
I don’t think he’s planning to run again. Martial law will take care of that for him.
Creating a digital trail of breadcrumbs straight to your pantry.
Jesus Christ...what a dog and pony show. What a disgrace.
Were you in Camp Zama?
--------------------------------->
I believe it - ordering "food insurance" tomorrow. May not need it - can always use for when storms come through - really bad weather - flood condition, for example, or trucks stop delivering for some reason.
Better safe than sorry.
I don't want to be in the yard grazing grass if TSHF.
I doubt the Clintons will allow him to have a third term.
The black male engineers are friggin' 'million dollar free agents'. They know it; and more power to them - but I scratch my head......
Doubt there is an active purge. These days they are cracking down on stupid stuff. Maybe the colonel forgot to remove his ID card from his computer when he went to lunch or something.
You would see entire combat formations decamp to join the Americans — and taking their weapons and equipment with them.
----------------------------->
And, if anyone we know would declare martial law and stay in office, B.O. would certainly be at the top of the list, IMHO.
Or, is the smokescreen there to cover for a re-assignment to domestic operations???
You get fired, let the conspiracists have their collective orgasm, then let the story subside, and boom, this guy becomes a regional governor of an area here in the states...
Gomer Pyle said it best, “Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!!!”
--------------------------------------------->
*snicker*
Who says it will be in the pantry, null and void?!
I guess I should put it somewhere else, hmmmmm or get a pantry safe!
Wasn't it Polosi who said the "cupboard" was bare?
We'll get extra so you don't have to eat grass!

Maybe they will do like the Chinese Gang of Four.
Obama, Jarrett, Clinton and the missus.
Details, please? Links?
The government will still know you are a hoarder. If they can’t confiscate it from your pantry (for the greater good, of course) they will extract the information on where it is from you. Nice family you got there, does your daughter really need ten fingers and toes?
Better plan: buy a few extra cans every time you shop. or make an occasional extra shopping trip. Pay cash.
Don’t place a big order anywhere there are electronic records.
And, yes I am a conspiracy nut job!
So many conspiracies; not enough time! Heh.............
It is pretty much like a hobby. Some people garden.
I garden and think about conspiracies!
You have to add the Bush’s into the mix also.
I would not classify either one of us as conspiracy nut jobs...
We are just a litle better informed, we tend to read between the lines, not make up our minds on just one or two sources of information...We look at the big picture, yet, we know the potentiual that some of these things “may” lead to...
I garden as well, I have started my third Aqua-ponics garden this summer, and they are all producing at about a 90-95% return...Almost self-sustaining...
But that doesn’t mean I am a nut job...hehehe, I just tend to get into things and see what they can really do...
