“It was a TSA person that did the shooting!!”

I don’t think this is accurate:

LAX shooting: At least 3 shot; gunman in custody

“10:50 a.m.: Law enforcement source said that the gunman had high-powered rifle and that at least three people were wounded, including one TSA agent. Suspect is in custody. “

There was only one gunman? I thought there were two.

In that case, it probably was the famous “disgruntled employee,” because he asked people if they were TSA employees before he shot them. I think, from what I’ve read, that the only person actually killed was a TSA employee, so he may have hit the others by accident.

Not all TSA employees are armed; some of them are nice, but some of them are such dim bulbs worried about when they get their lunch hours that you miss your flight while they argue about it.

This happened to me last week coming back from an international flight in Atlanta, where all European flights arrive at the same time so there are huge numbers of people there. They were literally assigning their lunch times and wouldn’t let me go ahead even though my flight had already begun boarding and there were some 500 people in line. And while I sure wouldn’t go postal on them, I can see that there’s a similar management problem there and this may be the reason that some TSA agents might go postal at some point.
