(CNN) -- White House officials have pressured insurance industry executives to keep quiet amid mounting criticism over Obamacare's rollout, insurance industry sources told CNN.
After insurance officials publicly criticized the implementation, White House staffers contacted insurers to express their displeasure, industry insiders said.
Multiple sources declined to speak publicly about the push back because they fear retribution.
Can people keep plans under Obamacare?
Keeping Obamacare's promises
Obamacare's messaging problem But Bob Laszewski, who heads a consulting firm for big insurance companies, did talk on the record.
"The White House is exerting massive pressure on the industry, including the trade associations, to keep quiet," he said.
Laszewski, who's been a vocal critic of Obamacare, said he's been asked by insurance executives to speak out because they feel defenseless against an administration that is regulating their business -- and a big customer.

Shades of fascism in NAZI Germany, where executives discovered that suddenly, to survive, they were members of the NAZI Party.
Here, now, are the RINOs opposed to that?
No; rather, the RINOs are opposed to whomever opposes the fascist nationalizing socialists of the Obama Administration.

Sure why not. Health insurance exec’s knew Obamacare is simply a massive transfer of wealth from us to them. They helped build it.
What a bunch of thugs in this admin.
"I just got a flash of brilliance! This is what we do, Barack! Once we get the entire country into the bag (he blows up the empty popcorn bag) we . . .
We collapse the entire system! It's simple as that. America will be crying for us to do something. Then we roll out our system!"
This is from CNN? Will wonders never cease.
I posted this thought back on April 9, 2013, regarding something that Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show:
Limbaugh has hinted on past shows that the "rich" that he associates with are scared of what Obama might do to their wealth. This disturbs me.I'm scared that the "rich" are scared. If they were really "rich and powerful" leaders of their industries (we used to call them "___ barons"), I'd expect an organized pushback against the confiscation of their wealth, leading to the rejection of Obama. If they are simply "rich" trust-fund babies, then maybe they should be scared because they don't have a power-base behind their wealth to deliver on their wishes.
Given that we haven't seen the former, I'm guessing that we're stuck with the latter.
I still don't understand why multi-millionaire CEO's and other "movers and shakers" in their fields have to resort to "declined to speak publicly about the push back because they fear retribution."
What are our industry leaders fearing, physical harm to themselves or their families? Destruction of personal property by our President and his henchmen?
Seriously?
Don't most top CEO's also have bodyguards/chauffers and global corporate security departments that monitor their travels?
What will it take for one of these people who "fear retribution" to overcome that fear and speak out?

Guess what, Obama?
They not only said NO, they INFORMED THE PUBLIC OF YOUR MAFIA TACTICS.
Suck on that, byotch.
Absolutely. What no one is talking about is the Government Reinsurance part of this monstrosity.
In other words...the government will COMPENSATE the Insurance companies for losses due to their participation in the exchanges for at least the first three years.
Can you please remove # 51. I accidentally posted this!
You people shut up while Valerie’s Clown goes out and attacks you.
1. The IRS
2. The Anti-Trust Section of the Justice Department
3. Or the SEC, the EPA, the FCC, the NLRB, etc.
The Federal Government has the power to destroy businesses, even entire industries (e.g., coal mining) and, at the very least, force you to spend a substantial portion of your fortune defending yourself.
"Decline to comment" is a lot less expensive.
Especially when you can't count on the Department of Justice or the media to take your side...
‘Congress should stop this.’
I hear that McCain is going to introduce a bill that will fix all of this...
Sorry about that. McCain is introducing a bill on amnesty...for Tea Partiers...in Mexico.
Something tells me there is going to be a dismal Christmas this year but the forthcoming backlash towards this admin in January/February is going to be even worse, just mho.
Is there a betting pool for how long until "one lone nut" in his inner circle tires of the lies, treachery, and arrogance? How many people can be threatened and thrown under the bus before the blood of his own delusional minions starts crying from the ground? Got a funny feeling about this. These demoncrats will eat their own when it is politically expedient.
A: Because we don't call it that, son.
Nice cushy govt you got there, shame if somebody stopped funding it. Shut it down, then no regulators or nothing.
If you think THEY are being told to be quiet— what about big PHARMA. Pharma paid to lobby for obamaumaocare so they’d get national pharma contracts— not going to hear a peep out of the scum.
This is pure thug politics. CALL THEM OUT. Tell them to shut the hell up. And let the world know what they try to do to you.
