My point was a simple one. Many people feel they can just get Obamanationcare when they need it. One may be completely unconscious and unable to sign up for it when one needs it. It may cover pre-existing conditions but certainly not pre-existing bills. One can easily burn through one’s net worth in a few days of hospitalization, emergency care and surgery.

It’s not even clear if auto policies will continue to be able to include bodily injury coverage.

Well now, that’s a revolting thought. Talk about opening up a can of worms. I know there are some things that have changed that I never thought were possible in my lifetime but I really can’t see this happening. You just have too many different types of liability insurance out there that cover injury to others. Attorneys just wouldn’t allow DC to get in their toy box and mess with their retirement funds.
