Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testifies on the hill, Wednesday, concerning healthcare.govs problems since its October 1 rollout. Shell answer questions before the House Energy & Commerce Committee.
This is the committees second hearing related to the website problems. Last week, four government contractors hired to help build the site testified. Tuesday, Marilyn Tavener, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator, appeared before the Ways & Means Committee.
CMS is responsible for setting up the federal marketplace for insurance exchanges and the Medicaid expansion. Rep. Fred Upton chairs the committee and Rep. Henry Waxman serves as Ranking Member.
ditto that
as useless as a 3 legged Unicorn
Dems make speeches; GOP’s ask questions that skirt around the issues.
Where are these Dems getting enrollment numbers if they can’t be released because they aren’t reliable?
Capps just went state by state with all the new enrolees. So who is going to point out most are MEDICAID?
Sebelius is talking about the state exchanges working —Alaska stopped theirs until it works.
Can’t we stop the whole thing until it works?
Agree. Its so obvious what topics make Sebelius nervous that you would think Republicans would hone in on them and keep the pressure on. For example, the enrollee count and the failure to conduct system testing. But the Pubbies are mostly a bunch of losers.
Still selling us.
The happy people are the ones we are paying for.
yep but here is the kick to the down yonders.....it was done on purpose
ON PURPOSE......to FAIL
I'm about ready to turn it off now, right afterward head to the W.C. to vomit. That obfuscating communist being "grilled" makes me sick to my stomach.
Yes - and nobody is asking those kinds of questions. Its only is the website secure? Its like they only care about buying a book of the Amazon site or something.

Mike Rogers up!
easy answer.....their ass
Right it is all a sales job on the vaporware — that is the idea of what the system is supposed to do — NOT what is working. SHEESH!
And, STILL no one is challenging the underlying impropriety of having FedGov even involve themselves in this component of the economy. NO ONE is raising the bottom line issue that this exercise is ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL.
Where is the real CONSERVATIVE Voice on this one?
The two areas they really need to focus on are the high jump in costs for people kicked off of their “sub-standard” plans, and the rationale for forcing people to have levels of coverage they have no use for.
can’t stand her...refused to watch her
How many times has she said she doesn’t know but will get you the information.
Good grief...embarrassing
Hate to be the grammar police but this gets me as riled up as this stupid hearing......it's LOSE not loose........
Go Mike Rogers! He’s got good questions on security requirements... NO ENCRYPTION! NO security end to end testing.
Where are these Dems getting enrollment numbers if they cant be released because they arent reliable?
******
Put another way, why would you collect data that you knew could be unreliable? What kind of system would do that?
There is no way they don’t have the numbers. Its just that the numbers don’t paint Obamacare as a big success. To the contrary, they show that nobody wants it. And that’s a narrative that they cannot allow to spread.
