Fox News Channels Megyn Kelly grilled Ezekiel Emanuel last night on the foundational lies of Obamacare, with a focus on Obamas relentlessly repeated falsehood that if you like your health plan, you can keep it. The older brother of Rahm Emanuel and Ari Emanuel, Ezekiel Emanuel is a physician, a former Obama adviser, a vocal proponent of Obamacare and a big advocate of the government takeover of health care. When Kelly homes in on the issues at hand, Emanuel takes a predictable approach. He changes the subject and decries Kellys interruptions seeking to direct him to the point. The video of Kellys segment with Emanuel (below) begins with a useful compilation of Obama retailing the foundational lies of Obamacare.

Emanuels treatment of the cancellation of individual and family health insurance policies as a result of Obamacare is notably dishonest. For a graphic illustration of the phenomenon Kelly bores in on, see Michelle Malkins Obama lied, my health plan died. James Capretta addresses the underlying problem in Obamacares mugged by reality moment. Capretta explains:
The other reality now emerging is that millions of Americans are going to be pushed into these exchanges against their wishes, and they arent going to like what they see.
The problem will be most acute for the 19 million or so people who today purchase individual insurance. As industry expert Robert Laszewski has pointed out, todays individual market is essentially being replaced by the Obamacare exchanges. Some insurance plans can continue operating into 2014 outside of the exchanges if they are grandfathered. But very few insurance plans qualify for grandfathered status under Obamacare because the rules strictly prohibit even the smallest changes in coverage or cost-sharing. Consequently, about 16 million Americans will shortly find out that they cant keep the plans they have.
If and when they are able to look at their options on healthcare.gov or the state-built websites, many of these consumers will quickly become unhappy. The Obama administration keeps arguing that the premiums in the exchanges are below what was expected, based on hypothetical estimates produced by the Congressional Budget Office four years ago. But thats not the relevant comparison. Consumers want to know how much more they are going to pay for insurance under Obamacare in 2014 than what the pre-Obamacare market offers them today.
The Heritage Foundation has carefully looked at this question, and the results are dismaying. The average family of four will see a premium increase in the exchanges of 10 to 30 percent. For young Americans, the premium hikes are much worse, in the range of 50 to 100 percent or more for 27-year-olds, including 71 percent in Nebraska and 170 percent in Georgia. And these premiums are for plans with, in most cases, very high deductibles, ranging from $2,000 to $2,500 for the so-called silver plans and $4,000 or more for bronze plans.
Coming soon, a proposed law to be titled If You Like Your Health Plan, You Can Keep It Act, courtesy of Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson.
Oh yes, I understood what you meant. I agree with you. I mean that he would never participate like we are required to participate. He is above us (in his delusional mind). In his mind, his participation is his “contribution” to humanity, and that he is of the ruling class that shall live by different rules and be our administrators.
Well, we have some Republicans, who are ready to run a cover for the Democrats in the form of the omnibus immigration bill, they’re the same ones who refused to stand with Cruz on the healthcare bill, for fear of being linked to the TeaParty.
I have been thinking that I am really tired of hearing Democrat apologists claiming that Obamacare is “settled law”. Next time you hear someone claim that, tell them that if it is settled law, we should roll back all the changes that Obama has ordered and enforce the law as written and approved by the Democrat Congress.
I would LOVE to see Emanuel go up against Stossel, but we know full well he wouldn’t agree to that interview.
Isn’t Valerie Jarrett’s daughter employed by them too????? Not a joke, did hear this somewhere, can anyone confirm? All in the Family.
This man is EVIL.
What’s in it for the big insurance companies???
What incentive have they been promised as this government has done what they can to destroy an industry, the people who work in it, etc etc etc???
I’m looking at Aetna as one of them...There are a few others that some participants know of right off the top of your head...
I don’t undersad why they have been relatively quiet for the last 4-5 years, and have not been outspoken opponenets of this hostile goverment takeover...
Or maybe it hasn’t been hostile (to them), only hostile to the American people so far...
This has been something that’s bugged me for the longest time, and yet I have heard zero about this aspect, or it has been intentionally downplayed (or absent) through the information sources I look at on a daily basis...
Just thoght I would throw this out there for general consumption...
Fraud on the whole country is an impeachable offense. [Depends on how some look at it...]
Obamas approval numbers will tank as this all shakes out to the point of impeachment ripeness. [Impeachement is only an option when it is politically feasable, in this environemnt, Obama could murder someone in the Oval Office, and get away with it...]
Will any of the D Senators seeking reelection in redstates become desperate enough to throw an impeachment grenade? [ Not only no, but hell no...]
Even Linda Graham is getting out in front of the #AlinskyObamacare Parade. [Who??? No one individual is going to do anything substantive, or be allowed to get away with starting anything against this administration for its “offenses”...fugetabooutit...]
Sorry for sounding so negative, I too believe something should be done, but as individuals, our only options so far are to make changes in the representation we send to D.C. every two years...Once we lose that voice, and only have feckless wonders replacing the establishment feckless wonders in play now, we will truely lose this country...Elections have consequenses, and we are paying dearly for our apathy these days...
