A lot of “someones” have been trying telling you why since before this monstrosity even passed. Not only would you not listen, you probably called those “someones” all sorts of nasty names, like “teabagger” to try to marginalize them. All of the facts about what this program would really do have been out there in black and white if you cared to read and understand it, but you chose to believe in Santa Claus instead.
So, shut up. Just shut the hell up. You have ZERO right to complain.

I’m not sure the former, pre-HMO health insurance business could not be rebuilt if zer0care was somehow nullified. Just striking all the mandates from the zer0care policies could be done with one of those *changes to your policy* letters and the premiums/deductibles and co-pays could be reduced back to former levels. They could also include one of those fine-print sheets that are about the size of a bank check and state that NONE of your information will ever be shared with anyone or any agency without your express written request and approval.
In fact, this could be a master stroke of marketing. Include a rebate as a sweetener and advertise it in huge red letters on the outside of the envelope.
As for the vaunted poor: go ahead and put them all on Medicaid. Low income not eligible for full Medicaid can already buy in, at least in my state and the premium, et al is around $350/mo/per individual & $5500 deductible, then 80/20. No copay for office visits or ER included and some prescription coverage or price caps for generics.
Single Payer, which is being touted as “MediCARE for all” will decimate Medicare for those of us who have been paying in for 50 years and still pay a premium every month for Part B.
For years, people hit with high medical expenses have had a social worker come to their hospital bedside to work out a payment plan. My husband had a trauma back 3 1/2 years ago and when I called to work out a payment plan with the hospital, they responded that everyone did that, it was assumed and no written contract was needed. We orally agreed to a payment amount, got an invoice every month, paid the invoice until the total was paid and that was that.

Pure and simple...it was to gain control over every citizen in the USA.
Now they can mandate whatever they want to get us all to march to the tune of whatever corrupt politician claws his/her way to the top.
So many things are tied to personal health. Now they have control of it all.
Well It Happened At Our House Too. We didn’t vote for Prissydent Obama. Of course. Our son who is 29 year old HEALTHY guy, never goes to the doctor, I got him a policy from E-Health. For emergencies, which so far didn’t come thank GOD! I called E-Health and asked if his policy was going to change, the liar on the phone said NO. Then they mailed me a notice that his policy is no longer offered but he could get the same coverage for double the monthly premium ($84 goes to $166 a month) and annual deductible would go from $4500 per year to $6350 per year for the same dammmm coverage. And he isn’t policital, only votes if I have an abesentee ballot mailed to him, he just doesn’t bother.
When I told him about this his only question was “WHY do I NEED health insurace, I never go to a doctor”
It has nothing to do with Health or even Health Insurance. It is about POWER & CONTROL! That is all. Has to do with Redistribution of Wealth. Robert Creamer wrote the basic bill while he was IN PRISON. He said that is the only way they could totally do the redistribution of wealth and reparations, through taking over the health industry in USA. So of course Prissy Obama doesn’t care that people are losing their health insurance. It is designed to take more of our money, more money from the WORKING PEOPLE of America, and giving it to the Looters/Deadbeats of America. Even tho they could get to work and buy their own stuff and pay their own way.
As of next year, I’m entitled to one mammogram and one pap test per year. I’m a man....
