There are few professed “Conservative” writers who have the contempt for Social Conservatives that George Will does. The man called Rudy Giuliani the most Conservative candidate running for the GOP Presidential nod in 2008. In his view, Social Conservatism isn't even a part of Conservatism at all.

The fact that Virginia’s Republican ticket is thoroughly conservative obviously grates on Mr. Will’s nerves. That said, I’m preparing to move to more conservative NC, because VA is now officially a blue state thanks to the DC suburbs, Richmond, and Norfolk. I’m sickened.
