Rather convoluted logic. Bush did not unilaterally grant amnesty to over 3 million people.

RE :”Rather convoluted logic. Bush did not unilaterally grant amnesty to over 3 million people.”

Obama cant do that. He is just selectively enforcing the immigration law. They can be booted legally any time for any reason as with the ones that dont sign up. Where you get the 3 million figure from?

SCOTUS ruled that POTUS decides how to enforce laws, and Bush and Obama did.

Bush did not unilaterally grant amnesty to over 3 million people.

Not enforcing existing laws was de facto amnesty.

When Bush put those 6,000 National Guard on the border, that was little more than a big scam. Those 6,000 were shifted in at about 1,500 at a time for 2-week tours of duty. During their tours of duty, they were prohibited from carrying loaded firearms. Their duties included filing, paper work, washing vehicles, etc.

During one of the latter Bush attempts to get immigration reform [amnesty, for those in Rio Linda], Reid took the the Senate floor and claimed that over 5,000 illegals were entering the US every week. Of course, Reid was on the side of legalizing them.
