It really doesn’t seem that long ago when Reagan was President and love of country and patriotism was something to be proud of and excited about.
It would have been dismissed as an absurd fantasy that someday we’d have a President who actively hates America, the very country he governs, with a seething passion.
How far we’ve fallen.
Reagan also won landslide elections and helped other Republicans win. But it turns out that the GOP hated his political philosophy and did everything it could do over the past 25 years to purge it out of the party.
