Just prior to the president's ObamaCare pep rally in the White House Rose Garden, Monday morning, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released the following statement regarding Obamacare's failure to live up to Obama's many promises:
Today President Obama will draw the medias attention to a handful of persons who have applied for Obamacare while ignoring the untold number of Americans who are losing the plans they liked because of Obamacare.
Yesterday, Kaiser Health joined numerous other news outlets by confirming a new victim of Obamacare: Americans who are receiving cancellation notices from their insurers due to the Affordable Act.
Health plans are sending hundreds of thousands of cancellation letters to people who buy their own coverage, frustrating some consumers who want to keep what they have and forcing others to buy more costly policies, Kaiser Health News reported. The main reason insurers offer is that the policies fall short of what the Affordable Care Act requires starting Jan. 1. Most are ending policies sold after the law passed in March 2010. At least a few are cancelling plans sold to people with pre-existing medical conditions.

200,000 victims here in upstate NY...Excellus’ Medicaid patients now must go elsewhere....and let’s guess who’s gonna pay for them...
It seems the insurance companies are in the tank for Obamacare hoping they can force us into their plans. What if we form our own self-insurance insurance exchanges and pay cash for minor things and let our pool pay for hospital costs.
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
Seen, Cruz might be right on the money, but I hope he understands that Obastard doesn’t care if people are loosing their plans.
It is a fatal mistake politically to assume Obastard cares about anything or anyone beyond himself and his power.
Christian healthcare co-ops already exist and are one of the few exemptions under the new law that will allow you to avoid both the exchanges and the tax penalty. There are presently only three that qualify, Medi-Share, Christian Healthcare Ministries, and Samaritan Ministries. I’m on my droid so doing links is difficult, but you should be able to Google them easily.
Yes he is. A while back I sent him a note to thank him for standing with us and also told him about how we lost our plan, so I’m thinking I was probably one of many. Cruz is on to something here. This is exactly the anti-propaganda we need, because the truth of it can’t be hidden. Sometimes all folks need to be courageous and fight back is to know they are not alone. That’s what Cruz is doing, setting up a flag under which we can band forces and fight together. It’s a powerful idea, and I’d guess its the main reason he makes the progressives so nervous they’re trying to discredit him as crazy. Crazy like a fox.
I don’t have to worry about it.
There seem to be many stories of the lack of reliability of some of these organizations. See the comments at the end:

There were comments on a thread over the weekend or late last week (can’t find it now), that the Pubbies should start a website and invite all those who have lost their insturance and/or have had huge increases in rates and/or deductions to post on the site. I thought it was a great idea - as others said, the Dims always trot out folks to help with their propaganda (grandma has to eat dog food or pay for her medicine, Sally Sue now only has to pay $25/month for insurance instead of $2500/mo, etc.).
Yes, I’ve seen some of those stories too. Thats why I highlighted Samaritan Ministries as having one of the better online reputations. People these days have no excuse for being blindsided by organizations with reputation issues. It’s all out there, one way or another.
Having said that, I decided not to diss any organization that might help some folks with their healthcare needs. Any organization can get big enough to have some folks where it didn’t go as planned. It happens. If OTOH I saw a consistent bad pattern, I would redflag it, and I haven’t seen that, yet, with any of the big three. JMHO.
It would seem to me, though, that just about anything other than a broken arm or some injury can be said to be “pre-existing” . . . and denied.
That is really a great idea! But do you think the Rs will have the nerve? The RNC folks are such weaklings. But yes, they absolutely should do that. I’ve got my own story I’d love to put up on a site like that.
Obama doesn't care about the people or healthcare. The issues exist only as a pretext to obtain power.
Medi-Share is problematic, but the other two clearly allow some form or another of help for preexisting conditions, so I’m not seeing this as an insurmountable issue.
Insurance cancellations are coming in faster than Obamacare enrollees. By the thousands according to FOX News.
No, I’m not sure that the Pubbies will have the nerve. The posts on the thread I was thinking of made it more of a grassroots thread (IIRC).
This isn’t the one I was thinking about, but apparently the Heritage Foundation has set up a site:
I hope the Heritage Foundation opens a website that publishes reports of ObamaCare RipOffs.
They’re WAY ahead of ya....
