Just secede already: The obstructionists aren’t going anywhere. Maybe we should

We don't want to live in Ted Cruz's America. He doesn't like ours. Maybe a split really is inevitable — and right

Yes, I know Michele Bachmann is from Minnesota and Steve King is from Iowa, but all this proves is that in the 150 or so years since the Civil War, the vituperative Confederate agenda of anti-Americanism has managed to spread its irresistible redneck poison into benighted pockets across the country. Kind of like Waffle House.

But to deny that the current attack on the federal government isn’t part of the hidebound Confederate agenda is to ignore the people who have engineered it and whose sedition will be rewarded with reelection

Much as Kentucky’s Mitch McConnell did in 2010 when he said that the “single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president,” Meadows’ legislative gambit revealed a man and a party absorbed in a classic state of Southern pique. It’s a pathology sadly worthy of Calhoun and his whole sorry legacy of tantrum-throwing quack parliamentarians who want to continue enjoying all of the benefits that come with being part of the United States without having to make any of the necessary sacrifices or compromises.

Painting the Republicans as Confederates.

Funny since they declared WAR on the real Confederates.

Of the two parties, which one really has the plantation mentality towards its members?

Which party actually voted to pass the 1964 civil rights act?

Where were all the lynchings by the KKK? Who made up the KKK? The KKK went after blacks and who else - Southern Republicans...

The politicians who turned the fire hoses on blacks? The politicians who stood in the school house doors blocking black kids from school with whites, what party were they from?

The politicians who give money to planned parenthood whose most successful and profitable clinics are in urban inner city areas to kill mostly black babies?

The politicians who BRIBE blacks to stay with them with other people’s money and write laws that make them more equal, a special protected class of person in America, who’s the party behind that?

And somehow conservative republicans have a “confederate” mentality.

The Lincoln high Federalist agenda, which Marx favored, of big and powerful central "indivisible" government, his system of nationally chartered banks, heavy progressive income tax,and public education financed by government, was the real Anti-American agenda of the times. That is why so many Marxists from Europe helped found the Republican Party, helped get Lincoln elected, and became generals in the North's army.

Interesting. I found this at wiki:

The Civil War in the United States is a collection of articles on the American Civil War by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels for the New York Tribune and Die Presse of Vienna between 1861 and 1862, and correspondence between Marx and Engels between 1860 and 1866. It was published as a book in 1937, edited and with an introduction by Richard Enmale.

The articles promote the Union side of the war, arguing that the conflict was fundamentally about slavery.

Apparently Chuckie is being paid by the adjective. Nice work if you can get it.

I wonder, though, how a belief in small government, cutting spending to within our means, and a respect for the Constitution have come to be labeled "racist" and "anti-American". Fact is, Chuckie is just throwing poo to see if some of it will stick. If he and his want to leave, fine. We'll see who still has a Constitution in five years and who has a People's State.

Yes, let’s see a quote on Lincoln’s “plan to deport ALL blacks”. This should be amusing.

The only group guilty of sedition is the left. The greatest generation should have squashed you in the sixties. But of course they put the left in the form of LBJ in power and his Great Society program has succeeded in destroying America. So now that the left is finally experience some resistance and the American people are beginning to see through their lies, they want to take a piece of the nation and run away with it. Hmm...part of me wants to say no another part says yes and good riddance. Since their power centers are city states for the most part I say goodby. Let’s see how them city states work out for ya without slaves to support keeping your feral population at bay.

Without being an enthusiast, Lincoln was a firm believer in colonization. He did not shut his eyes to its difficulties. 'If all earthly power were given me,' said he in debate with Douglas, 'I should not know what to do, as to the existing institution. My first impulse would be to free all the slaves and send them to Liberia — to their own native land. But a moment's reflection would convince me that, whatever of high hope (as I think there is) there may be in this in the long run, its sudden execution is impossible. If they were all landed there in a day, they would all perish in the next ten days; and there are not surplus shipping and surplus money enough in the world to carry them there in many times ten days.' But he had also said a year before, 'The enterprise is a difficult one, but 'where there is a will, there is a way'; and what colonization needs most is a hearty will. Will springs from the two elements of moral sense and self-interest. Let us be brought to believe it is morally right, and at the same time favorable to, or at least not against, our interest, to transfer the African to his native clime, and we shall find a way to do it, however great the task may be."

Very nice. Now show me a quote by Lincoln advocating deporting anyone much less blacks (much less “ALL blacks”).

The second KKK had a lot of members. It was considered a true blue patriotic organization. Something like a combination American Legion and Lions club.

If they are Libs, they are not your Friends.

They support people that would have no problem kicking down your door and taking your Firearms. They have no problem with the Government stealing the Fruits of your Labor through excessive Taxation that is spent supporting their Cronies. They have no problem LYING to attain their goals.

I know people who are Libs, inside and outside the Family, at best they are acquaintances, at worst they exist to poison the well we as a Society drink from.

You sorta quoted Lincoln but you failed to show a quote where he advocated deporting anybody. I know that you desperately want it to be true but (as so often is the case with you) you're just deluding yourself and attempting to BS others.

The “blue” republics would soon find, that without the flow of revenue and tribute from the surrounding “red” country, they sink into a real cesspool of despair and anarchy, much like Detroit already has become.

Markets? Consumers? Railheads? Seaports? Banks? Government checks? Dependence isn't all one way here.

Sounds like multi bigoted scum to me.

The colony of Liberia has been in existence a long time. In a certain sense it is a success. The old President of Liberia, Roberts, has just been with me---the first time I ever saw him. He says they have within the bounds of that colony between 300,000 and 400,000 people, or more than in some of our old States, such as Rhode Island or Delaware, or in some of our newer States, and less than in some of our larger ones. They are not all American colonists, or their descendants. Something less than 12,000 have been sent thither from this country. Many of the original settlers have died, yet, like people elsewhere, their offspring outnumber those deceased.

The question is if the colored people are persuaded to go anywhere, why not there? One reason for an unwillingness to do so is that some of you would rather remain within reach of the country of your nativity. I do not know how much attachment you may have toward our race. It does not strike me that you have the greatest reason to love them. But still you are attached to them at all events.

The place I am thinking about having for a colony is in Central America. It is nearer to us than Liberia---not much more than one-fourth as far as Liberia, and within seven days' run by steamers. Unlike Liberia it is on a great line of travel---it is a highway. The country is a very excellent one for any people, and with great natural resources and advantages, and especially because of the similarity of climate with your native land---thus being suited to your physical condition.

The particular place I have in view is to be a great highway from the Atlantic or Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean, and this
