NORTH DAKOTA -- A former North Idaho man who battled the Environmental Protection Agency has been arrested and charged with sex trafficking in North Dakota.
Michael Sackett, 47, made his first court appearance in federal court Tuesday.
Sackett faces charges for attempting to entice an underage girl across state lines to engage in a commercial sex act.
Sackett and his wife Chantell made headlines when they fought the EPA over some land they bought in Priest Lake that was later determined to be wetlands by the agency.
The couple brought their fight all the way to the Supreme Court and won.
Sackett will be back in court Friday.

With this administration, it may not be coincidence.
He may very well be guilty. But taking on his EPA overlords like he did?
It put his life under a microscope and he is SOL.
This one is a bit more dicey, as it requires a 14 year old to testify, and children never, ever lie, even with the full weight of the federal government hanging over them and their families.
That being said, maybe this guy's crime isn't fighting the EPA and winning, maybe he really did violate the Mann act.

This covers the gamut of the “ideal federal charge”, because likely all evidence against him was collected through warrantless monitoring of his computer. It crosses state lines so it is clearly federal jurisdiction. And the collection methods, even *who* collected that data is likely secret, and will not be divulged to the defense.
In other words, “He committed a federal crime that cannot be detailed in court or cross examined. His accusers are secret. Therefore he is guilty, and cannot prove he is not guilty.”
If the feds were really being crappy about it, if his computer used WiFi, they could have parked near his house, accessed his system, done the evidence transfer themselves, with him none the wiser.
Whether you sign up for ObamaCare or not, living in a Marxist police state can be hazardous to your health. If you have “skeletons”, it might be a good idea not to attack “da man”.
And there will come the day when we will be called into active duty.
